# LoreFell Change Log A running record of cross-file changes pushed through the GitHub pipeline. Newest entries at the top. Each batch lists the date, what changed, and which areas it touched, so we never lose track of what has been propagated versus what is still pending. --- ## 2026-07-25 — Vision joins the Combat Definitions Vision is a new rule under The Combat's Definitions, filling a gap the Combat pages had left implicit: Weapon Range, Physical Attack, and Magical Attack all required "line of sight" without the vault ever defining it. Every character's Vision is 15 spaces. A creature or object large enough to block the view breaks line of sight to anything behind it, and darkness works the same way, with the LoreMaster judging what is visible unless a trait or augmentation like Echosight says otherwise. The page is not yet listed in NAV_ORDER_MAP.md. That file is outside agent write access, so Nate needs to add the Vision row under The Combat's Definitions himself if he wants it in the public nav. ## 2026-07-19 — Rooted joins the Combat Effects Rooted is a new Combat Effect, the single round form of the Rooting infusion. When an ability or spell applies it on an attack, the target cannot move until the end of the round. It costs 2 and sits in the Movement group as the lighter kin of Immobilized, without the permanence or the Fellmark. The Combat Effects list carries its row and its own page states the rule. SigilForge, FateWell, and FellGlass carry the same effect through the forge pipeline. ## 2026-07-18 — A Foe's Bonus Damage exists and tracks the party Building Crucibles said a Foe's Standard Attack has no Bonus Damage of its own, and the worked example repeated it on the Charnel's card. That contradicted the FellGuide, where Bonus Damage is the weapon's current bonus plus stacked effects, and a Foe makes the same strike a Fell makes. The rule now reads: a Foe carries no weapon to assemble, but its strike swings one leveled like the party's, so its Bonus Damage is the Arsenal weapon bonus at the Average Party Level, with kit bonuses stacking on top. The Shatter Rating never moves it. The math note carries the table, 1 at levels 1 and 2, then 3, 3, 6, 6, 10, 10, 15, 15, and the Magic Foe line now states its Base and its Bonus in full. The Charnel's numbers updated throughout: Standard Attack 6 Base and 3 Bonus, Gravemouth 6 and 3 to each target, The Weight of the Dead 12 Base and 6 Bonus with a further 1d6 on top. Standard Damage now has its own definition beside Base and Bonus: the full strike, both parts together, and doubling it doubles the whole. FateWell reads these same rules on every foe card. ## 2026-07-12 — Magnus Bane is a Harrowed of Brimsever The Magnus Bane entry still called his lineage Hallowed. That was the lineage he lost. When Lantern cast him into the Brim they shattered his halo, and the Hallowed became a Harrowed. His profile now reads Harrowed, once Hallowed, now Forsaken, his home world is Brimsever, and Elysara, the home before it, is forgotten to him. Brimsever's stratum page already carried this and the character entry now agrees. ## 2026-07-12 — The test ledger opens A new ledger at _Canon/testlog.json tracks what shipped and whether it survived the table. Feature entries hold a verdict per shipped change, and debrief entries record each playtest session in four fields: what broke, what dragged, what the table loved, and what stayed open. The spec lives at _Canon/TESTLOG_SPEC.md. Two paired work items are filed on the board: the Fellboard Testing panel, and the night agent's standing duties to harvest new changelog headings as untested entries and to file a bug from every broken verdict. Verdicts belong to the tester alone. ## 2026-07-11 — Motivations grant a starting point Choosing a Motivation now raises its Attribute by 1 the moment it is chosen, at creation and again each time a new Motivation is taken up after a Title. The Motivations page loses its old line that choosing grants nothing, and the progression note carries the new rule. The Title still grants +3 when all three skills reach four Masteries. FellGlass applies the same point in character creation and when a new Motivation is chosen. ## 2026-07-09 — Disambiguate Bonus Damage Two pages were named Bonus Damage, the combat definition and the Combat Effect added during the conditions rebuild, which made every link to the term ambiguous. Four of the five inbound links meant the definition, so the definition keeps the plain name and the Effect page is now Bonus Damage (Effect). Its row on the Combat Effects index is aliased to read clean, and the sidebar order files follow. The Spite and Dual Strike talents, the Impairments page, and the Combat page all resolve to the definition again. ## 2026-07-09 — The Vixel and the Runesteed reworked The Vixel's second Crown removed an Affliction, which is the Cawmarch's whole reason to exist and belonged to no other rung of the Vixel. It now forces the enemy to target a different Fell or lose its Act, finishing the movement thought the rest of the Aspect starts. The internal collection also said its first Crown applied a Combat Effect at random, and now agrees with the page that it is of your choice. The Runesteed changed entirely. Unbind is retired and the Aspect is now Redoubt, which raises a barrier between a Fell and the attacker so the attack strikes stone, with the barrier's Vitality scaling off the higher of the owner's Vigor or Wit. Its role line, its prose, and its archetype all follow, moving from restoration to mitigation. Neither lorebound touches Afflictions or negates Combat Effects now. The Combat Effects page states plainly that no lorebound negates an Effect, and points at the Cawmarch for Afflictions. Counts land at three retorts, four mitigations, one restoration, one Kindle, one Redoubt, and nothing named Pyre or Unbind. ## 2026-07-09 — The Solmera and the Grimgrit become a pair The Solmera duplicated the Grimgrit and did it worse. Renamed its Aspect from Pyre to Kindle, which frees the name for the Wand's Tier 2 spell, and rewrote the Aspect so it answers a blow that misses where the Grimgrit answers a blow that lands. Everything else in the two Aspects is word for word identical on purpose. Its role line now reads that it burns any foe whose blow finds only air, its archetype moved from control to retort, and its links to the Ignited and Frozen Afflictions are gone because it applies neither. The prose paragraph naming those Afflictions was rewritten to match the new trigger. Both pages now name each other and the infusion each echoes, the Grimgrit for Vengeful and the Solmera for Guarding, and both carry the same comparison table. The Grimgrit's Initial and Branch entries in the internal Lorebounds collection were missing the clause scaling damage off the higher of the owner's Vigor or Wit, and now carry it. The Solmera joins the Grimgrit and the Thistlewing as the third retort. ## 2026-07-09 — Trim the weapon stat line from every Ability and Spell Removed the opening stat line from the Full Description on all fifty four entries. It repeated the Form, grip, range, and Fellmark Affliction that the weapon's own page already carries in its Weapon Details box. The Full Description now opens on the targeting line where one exists, and otherwise on the effect itself. ## 2026-07-09 — Reconcile ability building to the SigilForge ruleset SigilForge is canon for forging and the FellGuide now matches it. Tier 3 has no ceiling and spends 5 or more, reversing the 5 to 6 cap. A build is exactly three components, one damage package, one effect, and one targeting, where the effect is a single Combat Effect or a single Affliction, never both and never neither. This replaces the old allowance of up to two Inlays. Added the wound gate, that an Affliction needs a wound so a No Damage build may carry one only when it is Magic, stated on both Ability Components and The Afflictions. Stated plainly that the tier ceiling is hard while the floor is not, and that Form sets the lowest tier an item forges rather than gating any component. The validation checklist was rebuilt to ten items covering the family gate, the wound gate, the attack and No Damage effect split, and the One Target restriction on Cleaved, Refracted, and Redirected. Building Crucibles now records that a Foe forges an Act with the same three inlays, costs, and budgets a Fell uses, with its archetype as its family and its Form as its floor. ## 2026-07-09 — Restore sidebar order for the 3rd Form weapons Nine weapon folders had no sortspec block, all of them 3rd Form weapons that hold a single entry: Crossbow, Scimitar, Halberd, Great Axe, Flail, Great Sword, Grimoire, Orb, and Staff. Without a block those folders fell back to alphabetical order, so the weapon page no longer sorted above its ability. Added a block for each. All twenty seven forms now sort with the weapon first and its entries after, and the order matches NAV_ORDER_MAP. ## 2026-07-09 — Correct the fifty four Abilities and Spells, add flavor text Rewrote all fifty four entries against the corrected SigilForge export. Eight had the wrong targeting: Overrun, Rattle, Sideline, Crack, Pyre, and Sanctify now strike Two Targets, while Chainlight and Wardseal strike Three. Added the flavor text from the export as a third callout on every page. The em dash in the Quash flavor was replaced with a comma to hold the style rule. Counts hold at fifty four entries, thirty six Abilities and eighteen Spells, six to a tree. ## 2026-07-09 — Remove the archived Ability and Spell pages The fifty four current entries replace the old ones outright. Deleted the archive copies rather than keeping them, because fifty of them shared a name with a current entry and made every link to an Ability ambiguous in the vault. Also removed the older Archive/Weapon Abilities folder, which held a previous generation of the same pages and collided with Ricochet, Maul, Shuffle, and Cataclysm. The fifty four current pages are now the only Ability and Spell pages in the vault. ## 2026-07-09 — Replace every weapon Ability and Spell Archived all fifty four legacy Ability and Spell pages under Archive, filed by the weapon form that held them, and cleared their links. Wrote the fifty four current entries from SigilForge, one page each, verbatim in name, shorthand, and full description. Every entry now sits under the weapon that forges it, which several did not before. Relinked all twenty seven form pages, three entries on a 1st Form weapon, two on a 2nd, one on a 3rd, with the magic trees listing Spells and the rest listing Abilities. Rebuilt sidebar order in sortspec and NAV_ORDER_MAP. Counts land at nine trees, twenty seven forms, fifty four entries, thirty six Abilities and eighteen Spells, six to a tree. ## 2026-07-09 — Align the tier budget summary The Ability and Spell Creation summary table listed each tier's budget as a single ceiling. It now shows the range, 1 to 2, 3 to 4, and 5 to 6, matching Creating Abilities and Ability Components. The Tier 1 Affliction column read Up to 1, which cost makes impossible, and now says none, since the cheapest Affliction costs 3. ## 2026-07-09 — Mythic budget removed Cut the Mythic budget, the rule letting a Tier 3 ability on a 3rd Form item spend a seventh point. It was the last place Form changed what an ability could buy, and cost is now the only gate. Tier 3 spends 5 to 6 like every other tier spends its own range. Removed from Creating Abilities, Ability Components, and the validation checklist. ## 2026-07-09 — Ability building gates reduced to cost Cost is now the only gate on an ability component. Removed every Form gate, including the rule that a 1st Form item applies no Afflictions through abilities, and removed the Tier and Form unlock tables in favor of a budget table. Amplify is gone. Spread is gone and folded into targeting, so every target a targeting component names now suffers the ability's Inlays and Affliction, with position and extra-target Inlays resolving once from the Primary Target. A Major Affliction is now any Affliction costing 4 or higher. The validation checklist dropped from sixteen items to eight. Weapon ability and spell pages still reference Spread and Amplify and were left for their rebuild. ## 2026-07-09 — Ability Components weapon table deduplicated Dropped the Grip and Range columns from the weapon table on Ability Components. Neither is used by any ability build rule, and both were a second copy of data the weapon form pages already hold, which is how the tree name drifted in the first place. Family, Weapon, Form, and the Innate Affliction remain, since the build rules gate on Form and the Fellmark Affliction is worth reading beside it. A line now points readers to the weapon pages for Grip and Range. ## 2026-07-09 — Tree name corrected on Ability Components The weapon table called the Foci tree Focus on its three rows. Corrected to Foci, matching the form pages, the tree folder, and the tools. Tome and Artifact were already correct everywhere. ## 2026-07-09 — Weapon Fellmark Afflictions rebuilt to canon Every weapon form now applies an Affliction of its own family, and no two forms apply the same one. Thirteen form pages changed, correcting eight that carried an Affliction from the wrong family, two that shared one with another form, and the rest that named a deleted Affliction. The Halberd now applies Slashed, the Flail applies Staggered, and the Orb applies Plagued, revising three assignments made during the conditions rebuild. Added a Family callout to all nine weapon tree pages, stated the Fellmark rule once on the Weapons page, and rewrote all twenty seven rows of the weapon table on Ability Components. Every Affliction page now names the form that applies it, and the ten Afflictions no weapon applies say so plainly. ## 2026-07-09 — Brand afflictions made one to one The thirteen brand replacements from the conditions rebuild left nine afflictions sitting on two brands each. Moved the nine intruders onto unused afflictions, matched on flavor. Tempralis now raises Frozen, Spirithral raises Conjoined, Guisewyrd raises Crippled, Scrythene raises Unlucky, Scerinyx raises Disrupted, Mycognosis raises Plagued, Luminarch raises Lacerated, Hexpyre raises Ignited, and Veriscendence raises Ensnared. All thirty-six brands now carry a distinct affliction, with Disarmed left unassigned. ## 2026-07-09 — Conditions rebuilt to SigilForge canon SigilForge is now canon for conditions and the FellGuide follows it. Deleted 17 Afflictions and 6 Combat Effects and swept every mention across the wiki. Obscured was kept against the original list, given a Cost of 3 and a No Damage restriction, so the Combat Effect count lands at 34. Every Affliction now carries a Family and a Cost line, and every Combat Effect carries Cost, Used on, and Timing lines with no Breakout. Corrected Bleeding, Immobilized, and Vitiated. Added the Bonus Damage effect. Stated the two gates on The Afflictions, that an ability carries only an Affliction of its own family and that an Affliction costs at least 3. Reassigned the Fellmark Affliction on the Flail, Halberd, Ring, and Orb. Replaced cut afflictions on thirteen brand pages, the Hallowed Vessel talent, the Sample Scenario, Building Crucibles, and the ability creation examples. Weapon ability and spell pages were left untouched pending their rebuild. Final counts are 37 Afflictions, 34 Combat Effects, 6 Impairments, and no Combat Effect carrying a Breakout. ## 2026-06-29 — Encounter math: Disruptions currency, Foe Vitality, Skill Difficulty, Shatter Ratings Set the four encounter formulas in CANON.md as the anchor. Foe Vitality is now 7 times the Average Party Level times the Shatter Rating's share, so party size no longer thickens a Foe, and a lone Foe may be padded by half a Fell for each Fell past four. Skill Difficulty is new, the Average Party Level divided by 5 and rounded down. Discord Points are renamed Disruptions and the pool is now Party Size plus Average Party Level, an intentional nerf from the old level times size. The threat ladder is now called the Shatter Rating throughout. Renamed the Discord Points and Disruptions page to Disruptions and relinked it from Running the Game, The LoreVault, Running Combat, Pales, and Pale Options. Rewrote the Building Crucibles scaling section, added the padding rule and a worked example, and recomputed the Charnel from 48 to 42 Vitality. ## 2026-06-29 — Obscured ends on dealing or taking damage Obscured no longer expires at the end of your next round. It now lasts until you deal damage or are dealt damage. Updated the Obscured effect page and the Combat Effects table. ## 2026-06-29 — Lorebound Aspects: Vigor or Wit scaling, chosen effects, individual reworks Reworked Aspects across fifteen lorebounds. Attribute scaling now uses the higher of the lorebound owner's Vigor or Wit (Aerostrix, Boreal, Felionis, Mordel, Slipfang, Runesteed, and the Grimgrit and Worgar Aspects that previously named no amount). Combat Effects and Afflictions applied at random are now chosen (Solmera, Vixel, Lumitoad). Individual reworks landed for Aquafin, Alkagoo, Drakelith, the Felionis crown, and Thistlewing. Felionis branch 1 also shifted from Bonus to Base damage per the new text. The Thistlewing initial kept its rune and trap identity rather than Alkagoo's potion and tablet wording, changing only its recipient to the targeted Fell. ## 2026-06-29 — Update eleven armor augmentations Reworded eleven augmentations on their pages and in the Augmentations table: Threshold, Mendseam, Shadowmeld, Afterimage, Deathsong, Emberhold, Scarweave, Runeguard, Bulwark, Unbowed, and Lastlight. Several now scale off the wearer's highest defensive attribute, Bulwark and Runeguard reach allies within Mobility range, Deathsong reflects Base Damage back at the attacker, and Emberhold, Unbowed, Threshold, and Lastlight changed their thresholds and conditions. ## 2026-06-29 — Sample Scenario movement as React, Agile infusion reworded Reworked the Sample Scenario so movement is a React. Hayjack now charges on his React and strikes on his Act, and Spindle moves to cover on her React and throws on her Act. Because moving spends the whole React, Hayjack's later Balance React and Spindle's later Trickery React were removed so each combatant keeps to one Act and one React, and the closing narration was trimmed to match. Caedril's Observation React and the Aerostrix's push React still carry the React examples. The Agile infusion now reads that while wielding the weapon you may use a free movement during your Act, which does not remove your React movement, updated on the Agile page and the Precision infusions table. ## 2026-06-29 — Movement is a React Movement is now a React and spends the whole React. It is no longer part of an Act. To reach a target and strike, a Fell moves on their React, then attacks on their Act. Updated CANON.md, the Combat page, the Quick Start Guide, the Act and React definitions, Weapon Range, and Mobility Range. Immobilized now reads plainly as cannot move, on its affliction page, the Ability Components table, and the Anchorpoint ability. The Fleet talent now grants free movement that does not spend your React. The Sample Scenario still shows movement inside an Act in two beats and was left for a separate pass. ## 2026-06-29 — Stance change now costs a React Changing an Armor Stance costs a React, not an Act. Updated the Armor Stances page, the Armor overview, and the player Patch Notes entry. The Quick Links armor guide was included in the same batch because it still carried the older free-switch wording and the rule appears there too. ## 2026-06-29 — Add Skyvault Studio to the About Us page Added a Skyvault Studio section to the About Us page with the studio Purpose, Vision, and the L.O.R.E. values, Legacy, Originality, Relationships, and Excellence. It sits before the closing call to action and matches the page's voice. The game-goal line from the source text was left out because the About Us pitch already covers it. ## 2026-06-29 — Brand directory and Wakes, Discordant rules, infusion links Updated three pages. The Brands of Magic landing now explains Wakes in plain terms, a brand-raised effect that binds a creature and clings to it where a Pale binds the ground, with a greater Wake lasting until the battle ends and lifting only by Severing the Call, and it lists all thirty-six brands as a linked directory. The Discord Points and Disruptions page gained a Discordants section explaining that a Discordant lays an existing Affliction on every Fell board-wide at the start of a fight when an Epic or Forsaken enemy is present, the same effect the pool re-buys with Loose a Discordant again. The Infusions landing now links its Precision, Power, and Magic entries to their category pages. ## 2026-06-29 — Correct stance-switch wording in player Patch Notes The June 20 Armor rework entry on the player-facing Patch Notes page still said stances switch freely and instantly at no cost. Updated it to match the current rule, switching an Armor Stance costs an Act. One more copy of the old wording sits on the Quick Links Armor guide, which is the other chat's lane, so it was left for that chat to correct rather than edited here. ## 2026-06-29 — Correct stance-change cost Switching an Armor Stance costs an Act. Fixed the Changing Stances callout on the Armor Stances page and the matching line on the Armor overview, both of which wrongly said switching stances was free and could be done at any time. ## 2026-06-29 — Split Talents into individual pages Broke the Talents page out into one page per Talent under the Talents folder, twenty-four in all, each with its skill and attribute subtitle and the Talent as a note callout. The Talents page is now an index that keeps its intro and links every Talent grouped by attribute. The Guard and Resonance talents are filed as Bulwark (Talent) and Attuned (Talent) so they do not collide with the existing Bulwark augmentation and Attuned combat effect, and their index links are aliased to read cleanly. Sidebar order for the new pages was added to sortspec and NAV_ORDER_MAP. ## 2026-06-29 — Add the 24 Talents to the Talents page Wrote the full reworked Talent set onto the Talents page, one passive Talent per skill across all eight attributes, grouped by attribute as note callouts. Each Talent is always on and scales off that skill's Mastery, or the full skill total for Guard, Temper, Sanctum, and Resonance. The legacy magic-school and retired-skill talents were dropped, affliction references use the current roster, and afflictions, effects, and key nouns are linked on first mention. A player-facing Patch Notes entry was added in the same commit. ## 2026-06-25 — Announce returned weapon abilities in player-facing Patch Notes Added a June 25 entry to the published Patch Notes page noting that example abilities and spells are back on the weapon and focus pages, closing the loop on the June 20 note that they were being rebuilt. Written in player-facing voice with no internal references. ## 2026-06-25 — Add example weapon abilities and spells to every weapon page Generated 54 example abilities and spells from the weapon builder export and gave each its own page nested under its weapon in tier order. Each parent weapon page now lists its set (spells for the Magic foci) in a linked table of name and tier, and each ability page carries a linked subtitle of weapon, tree, and tier plus three callouts: Shorthand, Full Description, and italic Flavor Text. The Full Description expands every effect inline and states each Affliction in plain terms with its breakout, and afflictions, effects, and key nouns are linked on first mention. Ordering for the multi-ability weapons was wired into sortspec.md and NAV_ORDER_MAP.md. Flavor text was cleaned to house voice, fixing one semicolon and two repeated openers. ## 2026-06-20 — Fix aliased wikilinks breaking tables (escape pipes) Root cause of the Hexward display bug: inside a markdown table, the pipe in an aliased link like [[Afflictions|Affliction]] was read as a column separator, splitting the cell and spawning a phantom column. Escaped the pipe as \\| in all 111 affected table rows across 15 pages (Ability Components, Weapons and weapon trees, Treasure landings, Augmentations, Sample Scenario, and others). The Non-Core Augmentations table had already been padded into a 3-column layout by a table formatter run while the pipe was unescaped, so rebuilt both Augmentations tables to clean 2-column form. Removed the temporary Claude Was Here sync-test marker. ## 2026-06-20 — Remove infusion Family categorization from the published wiki Per Nate, the family grouping was not meant to be public. Dropped the Family column from the three category landing tables (now Infusion and Effect only) and removed the Family line from all 33 individual infusion pages (now Category and Effect only). The voiced landing intros are unchanged. The family ordering remains only in the internal nav files, which are not published. ## 2026-06-20 — Clean up infusion leftovers (nav files + orphaned art) Synced the two internal navigation files to the new 33-infusion set in family order: NAV_ORDER_MAP.md and sortspec.md no longer list the retired infusions and now include all ten new ones. Deleted six orphaned image files for removed infusions (Surefooted, Intimidating, Ruthless, Vibrating, Mesmerizing, Soulbound), confirmed referenced nowhere. These files are internal and not published, so they do not affect the live site. ## 2026-06-20 — Link check: fix dead links in the Quick Links hub Ran a full vault link audit. Fixed the broken section links in the published Quick Links guides, where targets dropped the "The " prefix: in Character Creation Quick Guide, pointed Lineages, Origins, Attributes, Skills, and Motivations (and their "Review here" aliases) at The Lineages, The Origins, The Attributes, The Skills, and The Motivations, unlinked the non-existent [[LoreFell]], and cleared one em dash. In Quick Guide to Leveling, fixed two [[Attributes]] links. 16 links repaired. Audit found only one malformed bracket in the whole vault (an example inside _Canon/STYLE.md, not published). Remaining dead links are content gaps flagged to Nate, not typos. ## 2026-06-20 — Infusion overhaul: retire Core, new 33-infusion set Rebuilt the infusion system around eleven families across the three attributes (Precision, Power, Magic), 33 infusions total. Core and Additional infusions are retired. Created 10 new pages (Wounding, Reprieve, Brutal, Mauling, Merciless, Siphoning, Potent, Blighting, Coursing, Backlash), deleted 13 that left the design (Piercing, Reaping, Surefooted, Unerring, Barbed, Intimidating, Ruthless, Spilling, Vibrating, Cleansing, Mesmerizing, Overcharge, Soulbound), and moved 8 to a new attribute (Rooting, Guarding, Vorpal to Precision; Emboldening, Afflicted to Power; Honed, Unflagging, Blinking to Magic). Updated the remaining pages' effects to match. Individual page format dropped the Core/Additional Type line in favor of a Family line. The three category landings now show one flat table each (Infusion, Family, Effect) with every infusion linked, keeping their voiced intros. The main Infusions page lost the Core and Additional section, and the Earning Infusions callout now reads that each slot takes an infusion matching the weapon's attribute. No external links pointed at infusion pages, so nothing orphaned. ## 2026-06-20 — Link afflictions, effects, and breakout skills in the ability reference Turned the Ability Components reference into a linked index. In every component table (Charge, Movement, Vitality, Utility, Damage Effects, Effects, and the full Affliction roster) the component or affliction name now links to its page, and each Breakout cell links to its skill page. The Form table's Innate Affliction column is linked too. Asterisked afflictions use an alias so the marker still shows, for example [[Ensnared|Ensnared*]]. Creating Abilities got first-mention links on the named afflictions, effects, and casting skills in its examples and guidance. 222 links added across the two pages, every one validated to resolve one-to-one, and the pre-existing aliased links (Armor Stances, Lorebound) preserved. This is a deliberate every-cell linking pass on the reference tables, broader than the usual once-per-page rule, since the tables work as an index. ## 2026-06-20 — Update Ability Components and Creating Abilities Replaced both Ability and Spell Creation pages with Nate's revised versions. Ability Components is now the full component reference: item Form table with innate afflictions, Build and Targeting rules callouts, and complete cost-and-breakout tables for Targeting, Spread, Amplify, Damage, Charge, Movement, Vitality, Utility, Damage Effects, Effects, the full Affliction roster, foe-only afflictions, and a validation checklist. Creating Abilities now covers tier budgets, the Tier and Form ladders, the five questions, ability structure, and play guidance. Fixed one em dash in the Damage section to comply with style. Re-applied the internal links both pages already carried (Afflictions, Vitality, Infusions, Augmentations, Armor Stances, Remnants, Fellmark, Skyvault Shards, Paragon Points, Lorebound) so nothing regressed. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 11 (the Vine Choker) - Canonized stream 13 as Storyline chapter 11, The Vine Choker, continuing the rootlings quest from the chapter 10 cliffhanger. The vine choker that took Birch is revealed as the grieving parent of the rootlings. The Churn swaps Birch out and Olivia and Popsockle in. The Fell kill the choker, clear the second choke point at a sunken bridge, and Olivia gets locked up by a bursting sap boil. - Added Bestiary/The Vine Choker. - Two choke points are now clear. The quest still has one more part ahead, flagged for next session. - Character milestone for the other chat to record on its Fell page: Mozzle completed his luck motivation by holding ten paragon points and took the title Chosen by Chance. Left his Canon Character page in the other chat's lane, noted here only. ## 2026-06-20 — Link weapon afflictions to their pages Linked the Affliction field in the Weapon Details box on all 27 individual weapon pages to its affliction page (for example, Affliction: [[Hunted]] on the Shortbow). Every value resolves one-to-one to a page under The Combat/The Afflictions/Afflictions, all basenames are globally unique so no path disambiguation was needed, and no weapon was already linked. Only the Affliction line changed; tree, form, grip, range, images, and titles are untouched. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 10 (the rootlings) and Fellwatch spelling fix - Corrected the tower's name to Fellwatch across the repo, matching the Burhallow world page. Swept chapters 5 through 8, the bestiary, Crumble, and the changelog, and renamed the location page to The Fellwatch Tower.md. The nav files already used the correct spelling and were left untouched. - Canonized stream 12 as Storyline chapter 10, The Root of the Problem. Group one (Mozzle, Birch, Pippa, Acantha) clears the first choke point of the rootlings quest after diplomacy fails, and the chapter ends on roots dragging Birch toward something hungry deeper in. The quest is not finished, two more choke points and the collapsed orchard remain. - Added Bestiary/Rootlings. - New tower lore on the Fellwatch page: its deeper doors have tempers, and the tower now posts its own gold-leaf quests, starting with Measure Twice, which sends the Fell to the Bleeding Pines for whisper pine to build the proving grounds. Held the Bleeding Pines and the proving grounds as flags until visited or built. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 9 (the Missing Millstone) - Canonized stream 11 as Storyline chapter 9, The Missing Millstone. A near-full table (Valon, Usagi, Steelheart, Popsockle, with Acantha along) takes the second board quest and recovers the mill's grindstone from a grub grinder denning in the Bunny Bay tide caves, befriending and taming the creature rather than killing it. - Added Bestiary/The Grub Grinder and Locations/Bunny Bay. Confirmed the shore cave from the earlier flag is the Bunny Bay tide caves. - Noted on the Fellwatch page that the board work builds the ruin back toward something more, matching the quest-count progression the LoreMaster set out. - Two quests done. The Root of the Problem (rootlings on the Bindler Cross road) is still open on the board. - New Fell Valon (two-wand mage, not from Burhallow) and Usagi (a Burhallow bunny who has died once before) appear here. Their Canon Character pages stay in the other chat's lane. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 8 (first side quest) and Acantha spelling fix - Corrected the cult slayer's name to Acantha across the repo, matching the roster and the Canon Character page. Swept chapters 4 and 7 and the changelog. - Canonized stream 10 as Storyline chapter 8, The Mushroom Whisperer. The second party (Bubbles, Popsockle) arrives to find the Fellwatch already cleared by the first party and the tower a home, then takes the first board quest from Crumble and escorts the fungus-touched child Pibbon to the mushroom ring. - The tower clear was not re-run for the second party, so no merge. The two parties are now level with each other, the Fellwatch is home, and the campaign has moved into side quests off Crumble's board. - Added Locations/The Forest Glade, Characters/Pibbon, Bestiary/The Spore Shade. - Two board quests remain open and unplayed, flagged here for whoever takes them next: rootlings on the Bindler Cross road, and a millstone stolen to a shore cave from the mill at Bunny Bay. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 7 (the Husk Warden) - Canonized stream 9 as Storyline chapter 7, The Husk Warden. Group one, with the cult slayer Acantha guesting, clears the rest of the Fellwatch interior, a room of spirits and the bunk room where the Husk Warden slept, and claims the tower for a home. - Added Bestiary/The Husk Warden, an epic husk of leaf and root that brings Discord down onto a fight so that healing wounds instead of mends. - Established that the Resonance Spire, with the corrupted drakelith dead and the beat running true, now summons Fell properly again. Acantha arrived through it. Updated the Fellwatch Tower page accordingly. - Acantha is renowned in Burhallow as a cult slayer. - Group one's clear of the interior. The second party's run is mergeable later. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 6 (the tower interior) - Canonized stream 8 as Storyline chapter 6, The Scabbard Wall. Group one (Olivia back, Mozzle, Birch, Pippa) enters the Fellwatch interior, talks the root-beasts out of the round hall without a fight, and clears the scabbard wall room, a memorial the old Fell kept to their dead. - Crumble finds a Burhallow book and becomes warden of the Fellwatch, posting found work on its board. Updated his page and the Fellwatch Tower page to match. - Group one's interior delve. Four interior doors and the Resonance Spire remain. Mergeable later if the second party runs the same rooms. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, merged stream 7 into chapter 5 - Stream 7 was the second party running the same Fellwatch assault, so per the merge convention it folds into chapter 5, The Empty Watch, rather than a new chapter. The combined band now includes Mozzle, Birch, and Pippa alongside Steelheart, Pops, Bubbles the frog, and Thrain the dragon-soldier, with the Churn trading the cast in and out across the climb. - Established the Resonance Spire: the corrupted heart of the Fellwatch that once summoned Fell into Burhallow and now spits out the tower's spirits. Added it to Locations/The Fellwatch Tower, along with the spectres and the interior of five doors the Fell have now entered. - Thrain recovers his memory in this version (Lieutenant Thrain, exiled officer, a century a mercenary). - Set Mozzle's home world to Burhallow on his Canon Character page, since the Harfolk are native to Burhallow. ## 2026-06-21 — Mozzle name fix and the Churn-and-luck rule - Corrected the Fell's name to Mozzle across all Echoes Below Burhallow chapters, the Fellwatch Tower page, and prior changelog entries, matching the existing Mozzle Canon Character page. - Added a line to the Echoes Below Burhallow overview establishing how the cast comes and goes: the Echochurn summons and removes the Fell at luck's whim, and luck brings who luck brings. - Open world stays one story for now, one campaign with chapters in play order. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, chapter 5 (open world begins) - Canonized stream 6 as Storyline chapter 5, The Empty Watch. The Burrowmouth arc is closed, and this opens the open-world phase. The warren takes the Fell in, and Gratcha Willowbind sends Mozzle, Birch, and Pippa to claim the ruined Fellwatch Tower as a home base. Olivia is churned out of the party before they set off. They fight through the tower grounds but do not take the tower itself. - Added Locations/The Fellwatch Tower: a ruined hilltop hold of Fell who came before, overrun by root-woken, tangle beasts, armatures, and the ghosts of the vanished Fell. - Folded the tower's guardian creatures into the location page rather than spinning up thin Bestiary pages, pending whether they recur. - Open world treated as continuing chapters of the one Echoes Below Burhallow campaign in play order, not as separate per-party folders. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, merged finale runs - Adopted a merge convention: when two player groups play the same story, canon folds their casts into one account rather than keeping separate or contradictory runs. Both groups ran the Burrowmouth finale, so there is no separate chapter for the second group. - Rewrote Storyline chapter 4, The Corrupted One, to combine both runs. The band now includes Olivia, Birch, Mozzle, and Pippa alongside Kray-Thor, Echo, the blade-singer Acantha, the iron knight Steelheart, a raccoon hex-mage, and the rest the Churn gathered for the end. Crumble is the Choir's bound sacrifice this time, freed in the fight, and Steelheart carries the Drumseer out. - Updated Characters/The Silent Choir to reflect that they took Crumble as their intended sacrifice rather than only threatening it. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, episode 4 (arc finale) - Added Storyline chapter 4, The Corrupted One, the close of the Forgotten Burrowmouth arc. The Churn returns Olivia, Birch, Mozzle, and Pippa to the deep tunnels. They confront the Silent Choir at the root-harp gate, learn through the Echochurn that the cult needs a Harfolk sacrifice to reach the corrupted one, break the choir and the gate, and push into the Drumseer's chamber. A last cultist sacrifices himself, the corrupted drakelith Ascendant erupts, and the Fell put it down and free the Drumseer. Thimblehill's beat is restored, and Crumble says he has something to tell them. - New records: Locations/The Forgotten Burrowmouth (now fully delved and partly collapsed), Characters/The Drumseer (found and rescued), Characters/The Silent Choir (named on stream), Bestiary/The Drakelith Ascendant (the corrupted boss, slain and freed). - Still holding individual Fell pages while the cast rotates and the campaign opens into the wider world of Burhallow. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, episode 3 - Added Storyline chapter 3, The Voiceless. The Churn brings Kray-Thor and Echo back and pulls in two newcomers, the Harfolk hunter Usagi and the mage Valen. This session retreads the Thimblehill onboarding with a fresh cast, so the chapter compresses the repeated village beats into one passage and gives its weight to the new ground past where the last group stopped: the inert feast hall, a clutch of corrupted drakelith eggs that Echo cleanses, and the first sighting of the silent hollow-faced cult and their Harmonist working a root-harp gateway deeper down. Valen dies in the fight, faces his faceless aether strand in Pandemonium, and returns. - Held records again: individual Fell pages (Usagi and Valen, one appearance each), the Forgotten Burrowmouth as its own page until the delve resolves, and the cult Bestiary while it is unnamed and mid-fight. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, episode 2 - Added Storyline chapter 2, Where the Beat Broke. The Echochurn shuffles the cellar's Fell, leaving Olivia and pulling in Birch, Mozzle, and Pippa. Crumble leads them up into Thimblehill, where they steady the off-beat Echobloom Festival and earn the warren's trust, and the Glowkeeper sends them into the Forgotten Burrowmouth after the vanished Drumseer. They take on the Echochurn brand on the descent, free a trapped Crumble, and put down the animated dead of a buried feast hall. - New records: Locations/Thimblehill (the hub warren, its elders Gratcha Willowbind and the Glowkeeper, the missing Drumseer) and Characters/Crumble. - Held the Forgotten Burrowmouth as its own page until the Fell finish delving it, and held individual Fell pages while the West Marches cast keeps rotating. Olivia is the only through-line so far. ## 2026-06-21 — Echoes Below Burhallow, episode 1 - New campaign folder The Histories/Echoes Below Burhallow (Burhallow, the Harfolk, the Echochurn). Set before The Drums of Fellwinter. - Added the campaign overview and Storyline chapter 1, The Crooked Beat. Four Fell are pulled into an abandoned Harfolk root cellar by the skipping Echochurn, fight clear of two rootskitter swarms, meet the picklecrafter Crumble, and Phil dies and claws back from the grey before the group recovers a crystal of light. - Held individual Fell, NPC, and Bestiary records this episode while the campaign cast settles. To be created as figures recur. ## 2026-06-20 — Fix: The Defiant play-style line The Defiant (Resistance origin) shared an identical play-style line with The Steadfast (Durability origin), describing a physical wall that holds the line. Rewrote The Defiant's line to match its actual identity, resisting curses, fear, and the will to make you kneel rather than soaking physical blows. The Steadfast keeps the original wall line. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass: Arsenal landings and weapon trees Voiced the six category landings (Power, Precision, and Magic weapons; Power, Precision, and Magic infusions) and all nine weapon tree landings (Sword, Axe, Bludgeon, Blade, Bow, Polearm, Foci, Artifact, Tome). Broke the shared tell where every tree and category closed on "These weapons reward players who want to," and varied each closer. All form and infusion tables, tree card images, and internal links preserved. Left untouched as already-voiced or pure mechanics: the Arsenal, Armor, Weapons, Infusions, Augmentations, and Weapon Abilities concept pages, plus the per-weapon, per-infusion, and per-augmentation stat pages and the Armor Stances rules page. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass: the 37 lineage pages Voiced the descriptive flavor on all 37 lineage pages, varying the openers so they no longer all run "The X are [creatures] from [world]," and clearing the hard tells (Harrowed's "not a lineage born, but cast out" and Vyrathe's "feed not for need but for control"). Every canon fact is preserved: home worlds, peoples, biology, and culture. Each Roleplaying section and Consider list, every Lineage Bonus callout and closing quote, all card images, Ironclad's Cilaris and the Kinetic Arts section, and the Vate's Scere mystery line are kept verbatim. The Lineages main page was left untouched, as it already carries the house voice. ## 2026-06-21 — CSS: legibility inside callout blocks Fixed two unreadable cases on the published site, both inside callout boxes such as the Canon Character profile blocks. - Headings inside callouts rendered navy on the navy callout background and vanished. They now render gold. - Blockquotes inside callouts kept their light quote box but inherited the callout's light text, so the quote disappeared. The text is now dark navy on the light box, matching quotes on ordinary pages. Quote text is usually italic, so the em and strong inside the quote are overridden too, since the callout em rule was otherwise keeping it light. Both rules are scoped to callouts only and do not touch headings or quotes elsewhere. Touched: publish.css. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass: Lorebounds Voiced the prose on all twenty Lorebound type pages (Aerostrix through Xenophis, plus the Unwritten), the three transmogrification form pages (Familiar, Companion, Corsair), and the Lorebound Types and Transmogrifications landings. Varied the openers so they no longer all run "The X is a creature from world Y," and cleared the leftover tells (the "Where most lorebounds shield" line on Cawmarch, "A Vixel is not just fast" on Vixel, "does not just fight, it claims" on Solmera). Every canon fact (home worlds, peoples, creature behavior) is preserved, and each Aspect block, card image, the Unwritten's Remember list, and all internal links are kept verbatim. The Lorebounds main page was left untouched, as it already carries the house voice. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass: the attribute pages Rewrote the prose on all eleven individual attribute pages (Power, Precision, Magic, Vigor, Wit, Durability, Evasion, Resistance, Luck, Mobility, Vitality) and the four category landings (Core, Defensive, Offensive, Other), breaking the same four-beat template the skills used and clearing the leftover AI tells (the "it burns, binds, heals, and transforms" quad and the "Where X crushes" contrast lines on Magic, the "not X but Y" on Vigor, the "does not merely withstand, they push back" on Resistance). Used For callouts, role tables, opposition data, and internal links (Vitality, Skyvault Shards, Lorebound) preserved verbatim. The Attributes main page was left untouched, as it already carries the house voice. The Characters mechanical layer (skills + attributes) is now fully voiced. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass: The Skills landing pages Voiced the eight skill-group landing pages (Durability, Evasion, Magic, Power, Precision, Resistance, Vigor, Wit), breaking the shared "X is the art of / These skills govern / A character trained in X" template and removing the lone contrast-pair tell on Evasion. Sharpened the opening paragraph of the main Skills page; left its rules sections (Lore Checks, Mastering, Skills in Combat, Creative Use) verbatim since they already carry the house voice. All opposition lines, skill tables, and internal links preserved. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass: the 24 skill pages Rewrote the flavor prose on every individual skill page across all eight attributes (Durability, Evasion, Magic, Power, Precision, Resistance, Vigor, Wit) in Nate's voice. Broke the shared four-beat template (definition / "where X" contrast / "In the Sphere" examples / "For the Fell" closer) that made the pages read as generated. Each page now varies its structure and closes on one earned line. H1, the question blockquote, and the Example Skill Checks callouts are preserved verbatim; the [[Vitality]] links on Spirit and Renewal are intact. First batch of the whole-book voice sweep. ## 2026-06-20 — Voice pass (calibration): three section landings - Rewrote the flat Characters, Customization, and Introduction landing intros in the house voice: an evocative title, a lowercase subtitle, direct address, and the short punchy rhythm used in the Foreword. Now consistent with the Combat, Arsenal, and Treasure landings. Tables and links untouched. This is a calibration sample for a wider voice pass. ## 2026-06-20 — Style cleanup: remove the last two semicolons - Replaced the two remaining semicolons in the published book (Talents and The Fallen Lore) with a comma and a period. The book is now clean of em dashes outside attributions, dramatic ellipses, and semicolons. ## 2026-06-20 — Internal links batch 4: definitional links on leaf, Treasure, and Introduction pages - Extended definitional links across the remaining published pages: the individual lorebound, skill, attribute, lineage, brand, stratum, and currency pages, plus the Treasure and Introduction sections. 319 links across 171 pages. - Same discipline as before. Once per page, body and cells only, no self-links, spoiler terms only on Lore pages, and existing links pre-loaded so nothing double-links. Pale was dropped from this pass after it collided with the Pale Blade, the Pale Court, and pale used as an adjective. ## 2026-06-20 — Style sweep: clear em dashes and dramatic ellipses from published pages - Removed the remaining em dashes and dramatic ellipses across the published book. Loot tier headers and the ability-component lists now use colons, the Sample Scenario play transcript uses commas, and the parenthetical asides in Imprinting and the skill intros (Anchor, Sanctum, Conviction, Resonance) were rephrased. - Converted the narrative ellipses in The Fallen Lore, the Foreword, the Quick Start Guide, The Unwritten, and Talents into commas or periods, preserving the pacing without the dots. - Folded six bare attributions (Whip, Glower, Hayjack, Spindle, Shroomy, Willo) into proper blockquotes so they use the permitted "> — Name" form. - The book is now clean of em dashes outside blockquote attributions, and clear of dramatic ellipses. ## 2026-06-20 — Internal links batch 3: definitional links on concept and landing pages - Extended definitional links to the concept, rules, and landing prose pages across The Characters, The Arsenal, The Customization, and The Lore. First mention of a term of art now links to its page: Lorebounds, Infusions, Augmentations, Remnants, Imprinting, Transmogrifications and the Familiar, Companion, and Corsair forms, Ascension Crystals, Lore Points, Skyvault Shards, Paragon Points, Discord's Toll, Vitality, Mobility, Fellmark, Fellstrike, Afflictions, Impairments, Pales, Combat Effects, Armor Stances, Spotlight, and Weapon Abilities. On Lore pages only, also Discord, the Sphere, Stratums, the Brands of Magic, and the Aspects of Discord. - 89 links across about 30 pages. Act, React, and Luck were left out of this pass since they read as common verbs outside the combat pages where they already link. Once per page, body and cells only, no self-links, and player-facing pages never link into the Spoilers section. ## 2026-06-20 — Style cleanup: remove stray em dashes from touched pages - Removed em dashes flagged during the link passes. Rephrased the Durability and Resistance skill intros and the Discordants paragraph on the Afflictions page so the meaning holds without the dash. - Folded the Steelheart (Armor) and Emperion (The Attributes) attributions into proper blockquotes so they use the permitted "> — Name" form. - Replaced the em-dash placeholder in the Combat Effects Breakout column with "None" across 29 rows. ## 2026-06-20 — Internal links batch 2b: definitional links in the combat pages - First run of definitional links across the seven main combat prose pages (The Combat, Survival, The Afflictions, Pales, Afflictions, Combat Effects, Impairments). The first mention of a combat term of art now links to its page: Acts, Reacts, Afflictions, Impairments, Pales, Fellmark, Fellstrike, Spotlight, Vitality, Mobility, Armor Stance, and the damage and attack definitions. - 31 links, in body prose and table cells only, never in headings, callouts, or flavor quotes. Once per page, no self-links. Wakes were left unlinked on purpose, since that page sits in the Spoilers section and these are player-facing pages. ## 2026-06-20 — Internal links batch 2a: cross-folder overview grids - Linked the cross-folder grids batch 1 deferred. The master skill grid now links all 8 attributes and 24 skills, the attribute tables link each attribute, the weapon overview and the three weapon-class pages link every tree and weapon form, the armor stance table links the defensive attributes that power each stance, and Skill Utilities links its items. - 123 links across 8 pages, each resolved against real pages and validated one-to-one. Targets in other folders use the shortest unique path, and the weapon-tree rows alias to clean display text (for example [[Bow Tree|Bow]]). ## 2026-06-20 — Internal link policy + landing-table link layer - STYLE.md: replaced the blanket "strip wiki links" rule with an Internal Links policy (once per page, terms of art only, nothing in headings or flavor quotes, no self-links, reveal-tier safe, published-only, alias for clean display, full paths for ambiguous names). Curated links are now protected from cleanup passes; incidental ones still get stripped. - Linked the landing and overview table layer: 339 links across 42 category pages, each table row now points to its page (skills, attributes, lineages, motivations, origins, weapon trees, infusions, augmentations, transmogrifications, utilities, impairments, combat effects, stratums, histories, and the section landings). - Links resolved against real child files and validated to resolve one-to-one. Cross-folder section grids (The Skills grid, The Attributes, weapon class pages, Armor, Lorebounds, Ability and Spell Creation, Skill Utilities) are deferred to a deliberate batch 2. ## 2026-06-20 — Player-facing Patch Notes: June 20 entry - Added a June 20, 2026 entry to The FellGuide/Patch Notes.md covering player-facing changes since June 15: armor rework (three stances at once, free swap, L1 unlock, no longer imprintable), Brands of Magic completion, Wakes, Discordants, Fellcrafts retired, weapon abilities and Talents rebuilds, section reorganization, and the development notice. ## 2026-06-17 — Added a site-wide development notice banner - publish.css now renders a subtle development notice at the top of every page via a content-area ::before. Text: the FellGuide is still being written and pages may change. Self-contained and commented, so removing the banner is a one-block delete. ## 2026-06-17 — publish.css: fluid headers and plain callout labels - Headers now scale with viewport width via clamp() (H1 clamp(1.25rem, 6.5vw, 2rem), H2 clamp(1.05rem, 5vw, 1.5rem)), so long titles like THE BLOOMWITHER shrink to fit instead of wrapping and breaking mid-word. This fixes a specificity bug where the old mobile font-size overrides never applied because the base .el-h1 h1 rule outranked them. - Removed the gold bold styling on callout label text. Bold inside callouts now uses the normal callout text color at normal weight. ## 2026-06-17 — Propagated the Sunborn and Silent Cosmology connections - Named Magnus Bane as the White-Mouthed King and Sunborn prophet on his profile and the Shadakar page. - Added Forbidden-tier hints toward the deeper structure on the Vate (the judgment is not blind), the Scere (the world is awake), Pandemonium (something silent gathers the spent), and the Aspects of Discord (what faces inward wears no face). No Forbidden specifics stated. ## 2026-06-17 — Created the Dark Entities and recorded the Silent Cosmology (Forbidden) - Wrote The Dark Entities faction page as the silent judges: a faceless hunger that judges the damned (the erased and the devoured), made in the Scere, summoning the Vate, bound to a Discord barely aware of them, intentions unknowable. Deepest spine kept to hints. - Recorded the full model in CANON.md as Forbidden lore: the Scere as Discord's soul, Discord's consciousness trapped in Pandemonium, the Dark Entities as Discord's stomach carrying the LoreMaster's imprinted will, and the Silent Realm as the residue Sunderbane leaves when something is erased from a timeline. ## 2026-06-17 — Named Magnus Bane as the Sunborn prophet - Updated The Sunborn to name Magnus Bane as the cult's prophet and identify him as the White-Mouthed King of Shadakar, carrying the Blazing Sun. The irony made central: Discord's own hand preaches the purge of Discord. ## 2026-06-17 — Created the Sunborn faction page - Wrote The Sunborn from Nate's notes, framed as the cult of the blazing purge and anchored to existing canon: the Blazing Sun, the White-Mouthed King's Upward Path on Shadakar, and the wider fire-cleansing thread. - Held off on literally naming the prophet The Blazing Sun, since that name already belongs to Magnus Bane's artifact. Flagged for a ruling. ## 2026-06-17 — Filled the Transmogrification form pages - Wrote the three empty lorebound form pages (Familiar, Companion, Corsair) from the canon in Lorebounds.md, each with a short intro and a mechanics callout. ## 2026-06-17 — Created the Enlisted faction page - Wrote The Enlisted page from the existing canon, framed accurately as Whip's own band bound through a working of his crafting: how he fills it by talk and by leash, the swamp and cathedral recruits, the Broken Spire puppet, Alden, the dragon head, the by-name binding, and the Valoria aftermath. - Held back the GM-side ledger secret. Flagged that all canon ties the Enlisted to Whip alone. ## 2026-06-17 — Expanded the Fell faction page - Built out The Fell page from a single line into a full faction entry matching the other faction pages: at-a-glance callout, opening quote, and grounded prose covering the founding by Draedon Vesper, the Knights of Fell and the Skyvault sacrifice, how a Fell is made today, the Valoria victory over the Veiled Queen, and the fall into Forsaken. - Kept the author's existing opening sentence verbatim. Held to the spoilers-section reveal level without exposing the Forbidden core. ## 2026-06-20 — Foxfire and Ash Salt art reassigned - Foxfire now points at its own embed for the amethyst art, freeing the glow powder art it was using. - The glow powder art moves to Ash Salt, closing its art gap. Camp Kettle is the last item awaiting bespoke art. ## 2026-06-20 — Skyvault Shard and Darkshard utilities added - Skyvault Shard added to Combat Utilities as a carried shard that does everything a shard does: heal, imprint, slag, fuel a Paragon, charge all three tiers without a weapon, and at rest restore full Vitality, shed Fatigue, and revive a fallen Fell from Pandemonium. Never bought or sold. - Darkshard added to Combat Utilities. Placed to open a 10 space radius and fed Skyvault Shards, each adding 1 Vitality. Every enemy in range is cut off from the Aether and left with nothing but standard attacks, their weapon abilities, spells, infusions, augmentations, armor stances, and lorebound Aspects all silenced. It shatters when it takes damage equal to its Vitality. Never bought or sold. - Art: diamond to skyvault shard.png, obsidian to darkshard.png. Sapphire now carries Wispin Coin and ruby carries Marrow Tap. Still awaiting bespoke art: Ash Salt, Camp Kettle. - Regenerated nav map and sortspec. ## 2026-06-17 — Restored Talents shell for rebuild - Moved the Talents folder and its main page back into The Customization. The 19 individual talent pages stay in Archive/Talents for the rebuild. - Restored the Talents row in the Customization landing and the Talents quick link on the homepage. - Regenerated sortspec and nav map. ## 2026-06-17 — Archived all weapon abilities and Talents; separated one-shot chapters - Archived every weapon ability (54 tier folders, 173 ability pages) to Archive/Weapon Abilities, preserving the class/tree/weapon/tier structure. New abilities will be added fresh. - Trimmed all 27 weapon landing pages to their image, title, and Weapon Details. Ability lists removed. - Archived the Talents section (19 talents plus its folder note) to Archive/Talents. Removed its row from the Customization landing and its quick link from the homepage. - Archived the now-dead Fellcrafts & Talents quick-link hub. Fixed four stale weapon links in the Weapon Abilities & Spells hub that used an old 0 - prefix. - Separated the one-shot campaign folder notes from their Storyline chapters: the single chapter in The Crimson Heir and The Drums of Fellwinter is now prefixed 01 - so it no longer shares a name with the campaign overview. - Regenerated sortspec and nav map. ## 2026-06-17 — Organization pass: section landing pages and naming fixes - The Arsenal now has a landing page (renamed the existing Arsenal of Lore overview to the folder note). - Added landing pages for The Characters, The Introduction, Weapon Trees, Lorebound Types, and Transmogrifications. - Fixed the Foreward misspelling to Foreword and stripped its frontmatter. - Left the three Definitions glossary folders without folder notes on purpose, to avoid three identically named Definitions pages and the ambiguous links that would create. - Regenerated sortspec and nav map; pinned the Introduction order so the foreword leads. ## 2026-06-20 — Treasure art remap: new utilities, renames, and index tables - Skill Utilities: retired Grappling Hook as the Power item and replaced it with Haulers. Index reformatted to a table of Utility, Attribute, Skills. - Combat Utilities: added Grappling Hook (hook and pull, capped at twice Mobility Range), Scabbard (first-draw Fellmark), Stifling Soles (ambush approach succeeds with no roll), Fleetsoles (free move), Bracewell (half-block React), Rootgreaves (cannot be Pushed or Pulled), Gloomcowl (become Obscured), and Spellsewn Robes (a spell lingers one round). Renamed Unbroken Seal to Unbroken Cuirass with a Stalwart-plate description. Index reformatted to a table of Utility, Use. - Field Utilities: renamed Wardstake to Overture (now three uses), Palimpsest Stone to Lodestone (direction-reset framing), and Assayer's Loupe to Reading Wheel (clearer wording). Index reformatted to a table. - Harvest Tools index reformatted to a table of Tool, Takes, Into. - Regenerated sortspec and nav map for the renames, the move of Grappling Hook into Combat Utilities, and the new items. - Art: items embed under their own names. Reused assets map to Haulers (plate gauntlets), Kindlestone (rune-stone), Unbroken Cuirass (plate chest), Reading Wheel (cipher wheel), Lodestone (compass), Overture (lute), Flensing Hook (lockpicks), and the freed leather and plate pieces for the new wearables. Still awaiting bespoke art: Ash Salt, Camp Kettle, Wispin Coin, Marrow Tap. ## 2026-06-20 — Ability rules corrected: Form floor, Spread, Amplify, riders renamed to Inlays - Creating Abilities and Ability Components now state the Form floor. A weapon forges abilities for its current Form and above: 1st Form forges all three Tiers, 2nd Form forges Tier 2 and Tier 3, 3rd Form forges Tier 3. Form advances by reforging at levels 4 and 8 in trade for an Infusion, and an ability forged at a lighter Form carries forward when the weapon reforges. - Spread now requires 2nd Form only. The redundant Tier 2 requirement is gone, since a 2nd Form weapon already forges Tier 2 and above. - Removed the conditional on Amplifying Afflictions. An Affliction may be Amplified. - Renamed the non-damage component umbrella from rider to Inlay across both ability pages. The four incidental uses of the word in lore and skill prose were left alone. - Schools and the per-weapon ability compendium are unchanged and remain queued for the ability rebuild. ## 2026-06-17 — Missing weapon landing pages created - Added landing pages for Short Sword, Long Sword, Great Sword (Sword Tree) and Morningstar (Bludgeon Tree), the only weapons missing them. - Weapon Details (Form, Grip, Range, innate Affliction) pulled from the Ability Components reference; ability lists pulled from each weapon's tier folders. - Restructured Great Sword: moved its three loose ability pages (Blade Tempest, Bloodwake, Steelwind Slash) into a Tier 3 folder to match every other weapon. - Regenerated nav map. ## 2026-06-17 — Treasure landing set to Utilities, ability creation consolidated under Customization - The Treasure section now lands on the Utilities page (renamed Utilities.md to the folder note, removed the separate generated overview). - Consolidated ability creation under The Customization: moved Creating Abilities and Ability Components out of The Arsenal/Weapons into a new The Customization/Ability & Spell Creation folder alongside the Ability & Spell Creation overview. - Regenerated sortspec and nav map for the new structure. ## 2026-06-17 — Regenerated sortspec and nav map for the new structure - Regenerated _Canon/sortspec.md and _Canon/NAV_ORDER_MAP.md from the current published tree. - Pins the new folder notes first (section landing pages, The Histories, Characters, campaign overviews). - Drops the archived Fellcraft folders and the archived Domains/Moving On pages; reflects Talents folder rename and The Harold. - Transmogrifications ordered Familiar, Companion, Corsair. Lorebound Types alphabetical with The Unwritten pinned last. - Existing manual orders preserved; reserved-keyword names auto-escaped. ## 2026-06-17 — Utilities quick link rebuilt, campaign overviews added - Rebuilt the Utilities quick link to match the live structure: Skill Utilities, Combat Utilities, Field Utilities, Harvest Tools, with their current items. - Added campaign overview landing pages for all six histories: A Court of Ashes, Shaper of the Nexus, The Shattering of Valoria, Of Withering Thorns, The Drums of Fellwinter, The Crimson Heir. Each has a grounded premise and a chapter table (one-shots omit the table). ## 2026-06-17 — Treasure/Customization/Lore organization: landing pages, Fellcrafts removed, archives - Removed Fellcrafts: archived the six vocations (Chef, Alchemist, Blacksmith, Bounty Hunter, Runemaker, Cartographer) to Archive/Fellcrafts; renamed the Talents & Fellcrafts folder to Talents and made the Talents overview its folder note; scrubbed Fellcraft references from Talents, Loot, Overview, the Utilities quick link, and the LoreVault customization guide. - Archived the two empty Customization pages (Domains, Moving On) to Archive. - Renamed the Harold character to The Harold (page and the Of Withering Thorns storyline mention). - Added landing pages: The Treasure, The Customization, The Lore, The Histories, Characters, The Factions, Canon Characters. ## 2026-06-20 — Foe reveal ladder tightened Adjusted the Building Crucibles reveal schedule so each rung ungrays at least one part and no escalation is wasted. Minion infusions are a fixed 0 rather than 0 to 1, and Epic reveals one augmentation with the second held back to Forsaken. The Charnel example is unaffected, still two infusions, one augmentation, a React, and Acts to Tier 2 at Champion. Pages: Building Crucibles. ## 2026-06-20 — Foes built to Forsaken, the rating reveals the kit Reframed the Foe kit as build-full and reveal-by-rating on Building Crucibles. Every Foe is authored with its complete Forsaken kit, and the Shattered Rating reveals a slice while the rest sits grayed, so the kit table is a reveal schedule rather than a cap. Escalation ungrays the next rung, its Acts, an infusion, an augmentation, and the Discordant, and can climb past the rating to Forsaken. Escalation is kit only: the body holds, with attributes and Vitality fixed at the deployed grade. Loot follows what the Foe revealed, so escalating a Foe makes it drop richer. Pages: Building Crucibles. ## 2026-06-20 — Encounter terminology aligned to Crucible Replaced the concept word "encounter" with Crucible where it names a built scene: Running a Session (the prep checklist), Pales (placing Set Pales while building the Crucible), Loot (the Treasure Roll after a major Crucible), and Leveling (resting between Crucibles). Left the plain-English and verb uses untouched, including the narrative "you will encounter" on The Lore, social encounters on The Harrowed, and the meeting sense on Aspects of Discord, The Currency, The Dragis, the Lore skill, the Sanctum skill, and the Whip's Emporium safe-passage item. Fixed two em dashes on the edited Loot line. Pages: Running a Session, Pales, Loot, Leveling. ## 2026-06-20 — Building Crucibles and the Foe build system Renamed Building Encounters to Building Crucibles and rebuilt it as the LoreMaster Foe system. A Foe now runs on a trimmed version of the Fell machine: a two-attribute build chosen from a table of fifteen named profiles (Reaver through Bulwark, including the two-defense spoilers that win a Crucible without dealing damage), a Standard Attack that charges its tiers, tiered Acts gated by designation and unlocked by charge, one signature Affliction tied to the Foe rather than a weapon, one stance, and infusions and augmentations carried as lootable traits. Added the threat ladder from Minion to Forsaken with per-tier attribute offsets, Vitality weights, Lore Points, kit limits, and Discordants on Epic and Forsaken. Set every formula as canon and shown plainly on the page: a build attribute equals average party level plus the tier offset with every other attribute at 0, Vitality equals average party level times the number of Fell times the tier weight, ability points run 1 to 2, 3 to 4, and 5 to 6 by tier, and Lore Points are summed once per distinct tier present. Unified the spend economy onto Discord Points. The pool now funds both Disruptions and Foe pushes. Updated Discord Points and Disruptions: set the pool at average party level times the number of Fell, refreshing each Crucible, added the Foe push menu (Fuel a React 3, Escalate a Foe 5, Loose a Discordant again 12) beside the fixed Environmental 8 and Magical 15, and closed the page's open question on extra spends. Updated references to the renamed page in sortspec, Running Combat, Running the Game, and The LoreVault. Pages: Building Crucibles (renamed from Building Encounters), Discord Points and Disruptions, Running Combat, Running the Game, The LoreVault, sortspec. ## 2026-06-19 — Vaelith spelling correction Corrected the heir's name from Valeith to Vaelith throughout The Crimson Heir (storyline, the renamed Vaelith record, The Pale Blade), the Malachar coda, the season bible, and prior changelog entries. ## 2026-06-19 — Season bible: The Made and the Unmade (internal) Added _Canon/SEASON_BIBLE.md, an internal planning throughline for the current season (not vault content, not for publish). Frames the season's army threads as one question, what to do with a soul and a made body, forked three ways: the Hollow path (Magnus and the Unforged), the Kept path (Glower and the Riftrunner hybrids), and the Fused path (the Keelser and the Calamiter line). Lays out three proposed production-legs that would let any of them scale to an army (Mireleor's forges, the Pentifax, and the Calamiter secret inside Sunderbane), the loose Keelser from The Crimson Heir as a neutral wildcard, and Lantern as the emotional center. Marks proposed beats, records design cautions for the cinematic combat engine, and lists open flags. Provisional, to be revised as the remaining streamed campaigns are canonized and the Stone and Sovereign campaign is planned. ## 2026-06-19 — The Crimson Heir corrections Retitled the one-shot from The Prophet's Breath to The Crimson Heir (folder and storyline page renamed). Corrected guest names to Lavena and Mori. Clarified the lineage against The Keelser page: the Pale Blade is a Calamiter, the talking weapon, and the being that rose wearing Vaelith's body is a Keelser, the lost lineage made when a Calamiter is driven into a body and left. Updated the storyline, Vaelith, The Pale Blade, and the Malachar coda to name the Keelser correctly. The Keelser, Calamiter, and Sunderbane pages were left untouched. ## 2026-06-19 — The Crimson Heir (one-shot) A Halloween one-shot on Vyrathis, canonizing the payoff of Malachar's standing arc: the cleansing of the Pale Blade. A band of guest Fell are summoned by the Prophet Malachar himself to stop his heir Vaelith, who means to drink the Crimson Haze at Hollowspire and breathe the world unmade. They wake the vaulted Pale Blade (a Calamiter of Sunderbane's line, cursed to kill only Malachar), free the Crimson Archavist Lethara from the chapel, and rewrite the blade's curse in the Temple of the Still Flame so it can strike the heir instead. Echo ends Vaelith with it; Malachar, his unsalvageable line finally closed, passes on freed. A Keelser then rises wearing Vaelith's near-god body and walks off into the Sphere, an ambiguous new power. A flipped Wispin Coin gives Whip a brief cameo. New records under The Histories/The Crimson Heir: Storyline (The Crimson Heir), Characters (Vaelith), Artifacts (The Pale Blade), Locations (The Temple of the Still Flame). Updated Canon Character Malachar with a closing coda (passes on after the blade is cleansed and his heir ended). Names reconciled to existing canon: Vrathus to Vyrathis, Vrath to Vyrathe, Whisper to Wyspar, Hollow Spire to Hollowspire, with the talking weapon kept as a Calamiter and the embodied lost lineage it makes named a Keelser, per The Keelser page (the table called it "Kelsair"). The in-story claim that the Crimson Haze was Malachar's doing rather than Discord's was treated as an unreliable revelation and not canonized, leaving the Crimson Haze (an Aspect of Discord) and the Vyrathis, Sunderbane, Hazenry, and Forsaken pages untouched. Guest Fell named in the writeup but given no records. Table comedy left out. ## 2026-06-19 — Drums of Fellwinter naming fix Renamed Fizzwink's gingerbread lorebound from Jack Frost to Crispin, and corrected the tavern's name to Shroomy's Phantom Delights throughout. Swept the storyline, The Keystone, the location page (file renamed), Whip, Shroomy, Sunderbane, and the prior changelog entry. ## 2026-06-19 — The Drums of Fellwinter (one-shot) A standalone one-shot on Valoria, a coda to The Shattering of Valoria, canonizing how Whip left Valoria for Shroomy's Phantom Delights and became lodged between worlds. During a later Fellwinter, Sunderbane on Whip's hip wakes the Smithlocks in their buried forge beneath Calevar's hall, their twelve-beat drums shaking the kingdom. A band of guest Fell go down, put the maddened smiths to rest, and forge the Smithlocks' last keystone. Whip trades for it and sets it in the dead arch in the Veiled Swamp, which opens the way to Shroomy's Phantom Delights, a tavern in a skull that sits between worlds. Because Sunderbane will not let him leave a world, the keystone only slips him sideways into the seam, stranding him at Shroomy's, the loophole the blade allowed. New records under The Histories/The Drums of Fellwinter: Storyline (The Drums of Fellwinter), Characters (The Smithlocks), Artifacts (The Keystone), Locations (Shroomy's Phantom Delights). Updated Canon Characters Whip (now lodged between worlds at Shroom's) and Shroomy (now keeps the tavern). Light codas added to the existing Shattering of Valoria pages for Sunderbane and Calevar. Names reconciled to existing canon: Calevar, Garrik the Old, King Arandon, the Smithlocks, Sunderbane, the Veiled Swamp, Burhallow, Echochurn. Guest one-shot Fell were named in the writeup but given no records. Only played events canonized; the table's holiday comedy was left out. Sunderbane's stirring as the loophole, and Fellwinter as a Valoria season, are referenced without expanding the Sunderbane lore or the Valoria stratum page. ## 2026-06-19 — A Court of Ashes, session three (finale) Storyline: 03 The Weeping Root, the campaign's close. At the broken throne the Fell learn that the Wyspar Selathi is bound inside Kethra Valis, the two having once tried to raise a living court of Vyrathe and Wyspar before Vaelen Morgrave betrayed them, sealed them, and made himself strong by feeding on them with each Crimson Haze. Avenessa and Abbigale work the Ashletting on the throne to free both women, fight Vaelen, and drive him off wounded after his true demon shape is torn loose, though he escapes alive. Freed and dying, Kethra and Selathi refuse healing, pass on, and leave the Fell the rite of the living court and a warning. The Court of Ashes and Aegros pass to the Fell as their own. New records. Characters: Selathi, Vaelen Morgrave, The Court of Ashes. Artifacts: The Bound-Court Ritual. Updated: Kethra Valis (freed and passed on), Aegros (now the Fell's), and the Canon Characters Avenessa and Abbigale (campaign close). Campaign-close resolutions kept to records and the changelog rather than CANON.md, since nothing here touches Sphere-level cosmology. Vaelen Morgrave survived and remains at large, an open thread. A Court of Ashes is complete. ## 2026-06-19 — A Court of Ashes, session two Storyline: 02 The Broken Throne. Avenessa and Abbigale break free of the Veinspire Pools by taking the Veinwraiths into themselves, which wakes the Ashletting brand in both Fell and, for the first time, turns the Crimson Haze against them. They shelter from the now-harmful Haze in a cave held by the Shardbound, the knights of Sir Aramon, refuse Vex Aldra's offer of cleansing, and talk their way clear by threatening the Shardbound's Emberglass. They press on into Aegros, descend through the new fissure into the rotting hall, and reach the broken throne, where Kethra Valis waits in person at last. New records. Characters: Vex Aldra, Sir Aramon Valegrave, The Shardbound. Artifacts: The Emberglass. Updated: Kethra Valis (now seen on the broken throne), Aegros (now entered), The Veinspire Pools (resolution), and the Canon Characters Avenessa and Abbigale (both now carry the Ashletting brand and have lost the Crimson Haze's mercy). Only played events were canonized. The remaining prep that has not happened in play (the spirit bound to Kethra, Vaelen, the endgame choices) is held for the next session. ## 2026-06-19 — A Court of Ashes launched (Vyrathis campaign), session one New campaign canonized from the first stream, set on Vyrathis. New group The Histories/A Court of Ashes with Storyline, Characters, Locations, Bestiary, and Artifacts. Storyline: 01 Heirs of Rot. The Vyrathe Avenessa and the Wyspar Abbigale, holding a manor above Cael'Morren, receive a dead courier carrying Kethra Valis's summons, learn through Old Vyrnna that both are bound to Kethra and the fallen Court of Ashes, and set out north for Mount Aegros. The session runs through the Hanging Garden, a first fight against the Hollowbound on a crimson bridge where Avenessa is struck down and claws back, and ends among the Veinspire Pools facing the Veinwraiths. New records. Characters: Kethra Valis, Jeren Ashweald, Old Vyrnna. Locations: Cael'Morren, Aegros, The Hanging Garden, The Veinspire Pools. Bestiary: Veinwraiths, The Hollowbound. Artifacts: Boneflower Seed. Player characters added to Canon Characters: Avenessa (Vyrathe, Vyrathis) and Abbigale (Wyspar, Pandemonium). The Crimson Haze is referenced as the existing Aspect of Discord, not redefined, and the Vyrathis stratum page was left untouched. Only played events were canonized. Later prep that did not happen in play (the Shardbound, Aramon, Selathi, Vaelen, the Broken Throne) is held for future sessions. ## 2026-06-19 — Shaper of the Nexus (Pyranthia campaign) canonized New campaign history written as narrative rather than actual-play, set on Pyranthia at roughly the time of the Valoria campaign and ending well before Shroomy's tavern. New group The Histories/Shaper of the Nexus with a seven-chapter Storyline plus Characters, Locations, Bestiary, and Artifacts. Storyline (7): Waking in Ashveil, The Shaper's Influence, Heroes Too Soon, The Arcane Spire, The Fall of Varyndell, The Astral Garden, The Shaper's End. It runs from the three Fell waking memoryless in the glass wastes to Rysn ending Zarathis with a single Sundered throw and the three claiming his emptied astral pocket. Cast records filled from stubs in Characters/Canon Characters: Shroomy (Capling, Sporion), Kreven (Vate, Brimsever, javelin reforged into a spear), Rysn (Rysen, Amaranthia). All three carry the LoreMaster's boost given to stop Zarathis, gaining Lore at twice the rate of any other Fell, which makes them the most powerful Fell currently in the Sphere, past Spindle or Whip. Zarathis's own canon record was left untouched. New records. Characters: Renka Ironstride, Zaeli, Magister Veyrin, The Emissary. Locations: Ashveil Hollow, Emberstone, Ashenrest, The Arcane Spire, Varyndell, The Astral Garden. Bestiary: Warped Beasts, Echo Stalkers, The Nexus Harbinger, Echo-Wraiths, Astral Guardians, Shard Golems, The Astral Reflection. Artifacts: The Fragmented Nexus Stone, The Dark Console. Two edits to the Pyranthia stratum page. The Realm Overview now states the majority of the world is glass-sand desert, and the Interface Magic section now describes the Interface manifesting as a living system over the senses, hidden and restricted to most. Faction names set: the Adventure Society is the Wayward Charter, the Magic Society is the Seamwrights, and the princess of Varyndell is Zaeli. ## 2026-06-18 — LoreVault: the Running the Game toolbox Built the LoreMaster-side handbook the player book leans on. New group LoreVault/Running the Game with an index and eight pages, none of it a copy of the FellGuide. Where a rule already lives in the player book, these point at it instead of repeating it. Pages: Running a Session, The Table, Making the Call, Running Combat, Building Encounters, Discord Points and Disruptions, Awarding Rewards, Guiding Customization. Two rulings folded in. Discordants are defined as an Affliction applied board-wide to every Fell at the start of a battle whenever an Epic or Forsaken enemy is present, no roll, telegraphed in the fiction. For the Lore is written as a named rule on Making the Call: when a Fell reaches for something that expands the story, the answer is yes wherever it can be given. Three systems are written as flagged proposals awaiting a formulas pass, marked in-page: the Discord Points pool size and refresh, creature stat baselines and encounter scaling, and Lore Point per-level thresholds. The 8 and 15 Disruption costs and the Epic and Forsaken tier names are treated as canon. The lesser threat-tier labels are flagged as working names. Rewrote the LoreVault landing page to fold in the new group. Added LoreVault/Running the Game sortspec blocks and slotted the group into the root LoreVault order. Touched: 9 new files under LoreVault/Running the Game, LoreVault/The LoreVault.md, _Canon/sortspec.md. ## 2026-06-18 — LoreVault: dropped numbered prefixes from index pages The LoreVault no longer organizes by filename number. Renamed the four numbered index pages to plain folder-note names so each sits as its folder's note. - 0 - The LoreVault.md to The LoreVault.md - Pales/0 - Pales.md to Pales/Pales.md - Remnants/0 - Remnants.md to Remnants/Remnants.md - Discord's Toll/0 - Discord's Toll.md to Discord's Toll/Discord's Toll.md Page content untouched. Added LoreVault target-folder blocks to sortspec so the index pages still lead each folder now that the number is gone, ordered The LoreVault, Pales, Remnants, Discord's Toll, LoreMaster Ability Review. Touched: four LoreVault index renames, _Canon/sortspec.md. ## 2026-06-17 — Level 10 capstones: Favored, Bastion, Everpresent Bond, and charge-gated stance tiers Added a level 10 capstone to each arsenal pillar, each one easing how charge gates that pillar. Weapon gains Favored. Your attacks, abilities, and spells are Lucky Rolls and stay that way through a fight, where the basic Lucky effect falls off the moment you take damage. It is charge-neutral, so it never feeds the shared meter, and an enemy answers it by making you Unlucky, which breaks out on Resonance. Armor gains Bastion. Your active stance applies all of its unlocked tiers regardless of charge. This also closed a gap on the stance pages, which never stated that stance tiers run on charge at all. They are powered by the same shared charge the weapon and lorebound use, and they stack: Charge 1 gives Tier 1, Charge 2 adds Tier 2, Charge 3 adds Tier 3, capped by the highest tier you have unlocked. Lorebound gains the Everpresent Bond, now defined. Your Aspect resolves in full, Initial through Crown, regardless of charge. The corsair self-targeting and doubled Mobility range are left untouched. Naming cleanup, since both capstone names were already taken. Favored was the imprinting Favored Arsenal, so those rulings were removed from Imprinting and the name now belongs to the capstone. The old Favored Weapon was already a Lucky Roll, so the effect carries over, and the old Favored Lorebound benefit is retired. Bastion was a Ring Tier 3 ability, so its note moved to the Archive and it was dropped from the Ring list. Touched Weapons, Armor, Armor Stances, Lorebounds, Imprinting, the Ring, and the Quick Guide to Leveling, so every leveling table matches. ## 2026-06-17 — Combat Effects: breakout sweep, beneficial effects no longer carry a breakout Swept the table against the rule that only effects which harm the target carry a breakout. A target never spends an Act to shed something that helps them. Six protective effects had breakouts they should not. Cleared them, so Guarded, Warded, Bound, Reinforced, Sheltered, and Obscured now show no breakout. Grouped them with Lucky in the upper block so the table reads as beneficial effects first, then the ten that can be broken out of. Each effect note was updated to match. The ten harmful effects keep their breakouts, and every breakout skill is a real skill on the roster. Enemy buffs are still answered by the Dispelled effect, so nothing became un-counterable. ## 2026-06-17 — Combat Effects: Silenced removed, folded into the Disrupted Affliction Removed Silenced from the Combat Effects table and deleted its note. The Disrupted Affliction already covers spell suppression (spells fail unless a Fellmark is rolled, breakout Weaving), so a separate Silenced effect was redundant. The Felionis crown now applies the Disrupted Affliction in place of Silenced. Lucky stays as a combat effect, and Unlucky stays as its affliction. ## 2026-06-17 — Combat Effects: Lucky and Silenced added, Unlucky folded into the existing Affliction Added two effects to the Combat Effects table and the per-effect notes. Lucky benefits the target, so it carries no breakout. Silenced takes a Weaving breakout, matching the Disrupted Affliction that already governs spell suppression. Did not add Unlucky as a Combat Effect. It already exists as an Affliction (all your rolls become Unlucky, breakout Resonance), so a second version would duplicate canon. The Felionis crown now applies the Unlucky Affliction instead. For the breakout sweep: Silenced sits beside the Disrupted Affliction, which already covers spell suppression with a Fellmark escape. If a separate hard lockout is not wanted, Silenced can fold into Disrupted. Breakout skills on the new effects are provisional. ## 2026-06-17 — Combat Effects: Lucky, Unlucky, and Silenced added Added the three effects the rebuilt lorebound Aspects reference, each as a note and a row in the Combat Effects list, slotted into the sortspec alphabetically. - Lucky joins the no-breakout group: your rolls are Lucky Rolls until you take damage. It benefits the holder, so it carries no breakout. - Unlucky joins the breakout group beside Studied: the target's rolls are Unlucky Rolls until it takes damage. Breakout Trickery. - Silenced joins the breakout group beside Echoed: the target cannot cast spells until it takes damage. Breakout Resonance. - Lucky and Unlucky cannot both sit on one target. Applying one removes the other, the way Obscured and Tracked already work. The Trickery and Resonance breakouts are placeholders for the breakout pass. Silenced overlaps the Disrupted Affliction, which fails spells unless a Fellmark is rolled, and is kept as the full lockout version by request. ## 2026-06-17 — BondForge: lorebound Aspects rebuilt and named, descriptions cleaned Replaced the shared vocabulary on every lorebound with bespoke per-lorebound Aspects, and gave each Aspect a name. The Initial, two Branches, and two Crowns on all eighteen pages now read as written mechanics rather than builder terms. Removed the old Compound, Sap, Wide, and Redouble labels. Rewrote each lorebound description to match its new Aspect and cleaned the prose. Fixed comma splices, dropped AI flourishes, and kept every canon detail, including worlds, peoples, and named figures such as Osan'maelor, Crawd'r, and Khald'hart. Reused existing canon where an Aspect needed an effect. Runesteed raises a barrier through Manifested, Vixel grants a Charge through Restored, Solmera applies the Ignited and Frozen Afflictions, and the Movement effects back every Movement Combat Effect of your choice. Three effects are referenced but not yet in the Combat Effects table: Lucky, Unlucky, and Silenced. Each is defined inline on the page that uses it. The existing Disrupted Affliction may cover Silenced, so that choice is still open, and breakout assignments for the new detrimental effects wait on the breakout sweep. Aspect names: Augury, Distillation, Siphon, Succor, Scour, Boon, Aegis, Reprisal, Weave, Forfeit, Adamant, Unbind, Elude, Pyre, Snare, Veer, Reap, Umbra. ## 2026-06-17 — All three Armor Stances, free in-battle swaps, level-1 unlock, imprinting removed from armor - A Fell now has all three Armor Stances and may switch the active stance simultaneously in battle with no Act required (Armor Stances page, Armor.md, Quick Links/Armor). - Level 1 now unlocks the path to your Armor Stances (Armor.md and the Leveling quick guide). - Starting armor at creation is now your Armor Stances rather than a piece (Character Creation page and quick guide). - Imprinting no longer applies to armor: removed armor effects, armor slot types, cross-type armor slagging, and Favoring Your Armor from Imprinting.md; imprinting and favoring now cover weapons and lorebounds only. Fixed the lorebound favoring requirement to Aspects or Lorebound Abilities. - Swept remaining old-armor references from Loot.md and About Us.md. ## 2026-06-17 — Armor leveling and pieces cleared from the rules pages - Armor.md: new leveling table (stance tiers at L2/L6/L10, augmentations at L4/L8, defensive bumps on odd levels); removed the pieces prose and the "assembled piece by piece" section; added a three-stance overview. - Quick Links: replaced the old per-piece "Armor Effects" reference with a stance/augmentation quick reference (renamed to Armor); swapped the three piece-unlock rows in the Leveling quick guide for stance-tier unlocks; changed starting armor in the Character Creation quick guide from Generic Boots to an Armor Stance. - Imprinting.md left untouched: its slagging/favoring/slot rules are still built on the old armor-effects system and need a design pass. ## 2026-06-17 — Armor Stances page rewritten with the correct stances - Replaced the mistitled Armor Stances page (which held the old per-piece charged-effects system) with the three real stances: Shrouded (Evasion), Stalwart (Durability), Vestments (Resistance), each with T1/T2/T3, plus the stance-change rules (free out of combat, an Act in combat, benefits swap at once). - Clears the old per-piece armor effects off that page. - Leveling left untouched per request. Armor.md leveling table and the Armor Effects quick link still carry the old pieces and will be handled with the leveling pass. ## 2026-06-17 — Move LoreMaster GM doc out of the player tree - Moved `LoreMaster Ability Review` from The Arsenal/Weapons to LoreVault (behind-the-screen). - Left the in-world `The LoreMaster` Astral Entity lore page in place. - Regenerated sortspec + nav. No inbound links affected. ## 2026-06-17 — The Combat front page is now Combat Basics; Combat Basics folder dissolved - Replaced the written `The Combat` landing note with the Combat Basics page (it is now the section front page). - Removed the `Combat Basics` folder; moved `Definitions` up to The Combat. - Order: The Combat, Definitions, The Afflictions, Survival (Definitions above Survival). - Regenerated sortspec + nav. No inbound links affected. ## 2026-06-17 — Refinements: Discord's Toll, Combat Effects order, Augmentations, Lorebound Types - Moved `Discord's Toll` from The Characters to The Customization. - Combat Effects now ordered with the `Combat Effects` overview first, then alphabetical. - Moved the `Augmentations` overview into the Augmentations folder as its folder note. - Renamed the `Lorebound Abilities` folder to `Lorebound Types`. - Regenerated sortspec + nav map. No inbound links affected. ## 2026-06-17 — Overview pages restored to folder-note form (top of each section) - Renamed 9 section overview notes to match their folders so each sits at the top as a landing page: The Attributes, The Skills, The Origins, The Motivations, The Currency, The Luck, The Lineages, Brands of Magic, Stratums. - These pages were never lost in the denesting; flattening had turned them into loose notes that Obsidian sorts below folders. Renaming plus the regenerated sortspec pins them first. - Zero inbound links referenced the old names, so nothing to rewrite. Regenerated sortspec + nav map. ## 2026-06-17 — Full vault denesting (structure reorg) - Applied the Combat treatment across the whole published tree: collapsed all doubled folders (Weapons/Weapons, every X Tree/X Tree, every Weapon/Weapon), promoted index subfolders to their parent (The Origins/Origins, The Attributes/Attributes, The Skills, The Currency, The Luck, Brands of Magic/The Brands, Infusions), and flattened every single-note folder (each Lorebound, Collector, and similar) into a plain note. - Pure relocation: 890 notes before and after, identical content hashes, zero content changed, zero broken links. - Result: 244 folders down to 172, max depth 8 down to 7. Kept the Power/Precision/Magic grouping, weapon Tier folders, and skill/attribute category folders per the agreed defaults. - Regenerated `_Canon/NAV_ORDER_MAP.md` and `_Canon/sortspec.md` against the new paths, preserving the established order (index/landing notes sort first). - Reversible. Section landing pages (overviews like The Combat's) still to add. ## 2026-06-17 — Structure pilot: The Combat denested (folder notes, no single-note wrappers) - Added section landing notes: `The Combat/The Combat.md` and `The Afflictions/The Afflictions.md`. - Flattened wrappers: `Combat Basics/Combat/` removed (overview moved up); `Survival/Survival.md` -> `Survival.md`; `The Afflictions/Pales/Pales.md` -> `The Afflictions/Pales.md`. - sortspec.md: added ordering blocks for The Combat, Combat Basics, The Afflictions. - Pilot for a full-vault denesting. Reversible. ## 2026-06-16 — BondForge: Lock crown restricted to conditions it can hold Audited every crown against the initial and against both branches on each lorebound. The Lock crown only does its job when the Initial leaves behind a condition an enemy could remove, resist, or reroll. An Unlucky Roll and a spent Act are not such conditions, so on The Aerostrix and The Lumitoad, Lock had nothing on the aspect itself to hold and leaned entirely on a branch. Moved both to Wide and Redouble. Lock stays on The Solmera (the Affliction) and The Xenophis (Obscured), where it grips the Initial directly with either branch. ## 2026-06-16 — BondForge lorebound fixes: Drakelith nerf, Swell crown, Aquafin Overflow, clarity rewords Drakelith no longer cancels an enemy Fellstrike and no longer hands out a free Fellmark. It now rerolls that Fellstrike. Because a reroll leaves no lingering effect to pin, the Lock crown does not fit it, so its crowns are now Wide and Redouble. Lock stays on The Aerostrix, The Solmera, The Lumitoad, and The Xenophis. Renamed the Honed crown to Swell across all seven lorebounds that use it. The effect is unchanged. The old name collided with the Honed infusion. Aquafin's second branch restated its Initial almost word for word. Replaced it with Overflow, which Restores a second Fell within range (gains 1 Charge). Clarity and fit rewords. Hexarach's Charge now reads "That Fell is also Restored." Solmera's Convert is now optional, "You may instead deal your Base damage," so it never erases the Affliction the Lock crown is meant to hold. Alkagoo's Rebound now matches its spell only Initial. Thistlewing's Wide crown reached every enemy Spread already covered, so its crowns are now Swell and Pierce. The Lumitoad description no longer uses a generic word for a turn. It now strips the enemy's Act, matching the rules term. Set the Felionis world to Shervinaw. ## 2026-06-16 — BondForge lorebound variety pass: branch riders and the Lock crown Added four branch riders to break duplicate Aspect pairs. Sap (Control): the enemy also gains a rank of Fatigue. Rally (Retort): a Fell within the lorebound's Mobility range gains Temporary Vitality equal to your Spirit. Cleanse (Control): purge one Affliction from the protected Fell. Embolden (Control): the protected Fell's next strike this round is a Lucky Roll. Swapped one option on four lorebounds so every branch pair is distinct. The Aerostrix is now Compound and Sap. The Grimgrit is now Brand and Rally. The Drakelith is now Embolden and Mobilize. The Vixel is now Bolster and Cleanse. All eighteen branch pairs are now distinct, and no option duplicates, dominates, or replaces its sibling or its Initial. Removed two dead branches that a choose-any sibling could already reproduce: the Control Anchor and the Retort Repel. Added the Lock crown: the effect cannot be resisted, removed, or rerolled this round. It is gated to the five Initials that impose a contestable effect, so it never appears on an instantaneous one such as a negate, a purge, or a reposition. Re-paired the crowns on those five for variety. The Aerostrix and The Xenophis use Wide and Lock. The Solmera, The Drakelith, and The Lumitoad use Redouble and Lock. ## 2026-06-16 — Lorebounds: removed dominated branch and crown options Checked every branch and crown pair for a strictly worse option and fixed the dead ones. - Dropped Twin and Routed from the crown set. Wide reaches every target in range and is always available, so a second-target or pick-one-target crown was never the better choice. Added Redouble, the Aspect may fire a second time in a round without spending another React, as the off-axis partner for effects with no amount to scale. Re-paired the affected lorebounds to Wide and Redouble, or Honed and Wide for Aquafin. - Branch swaps where a choose-any sibling or the initial already covered the option: Aerostrix Anchor to Convert, Grimgrit Repel to Spread, Lumitoad Anchor to Compound, Mordel Ward to Reflect. Touched: The Arsenal, 14 Lorebound ability pages. ## 2026-06-16 — Lorebounds: Initial Aspects aligned, auto-succeed scoped to spells - Rewrote all 18 Initial Aspects as full "When [event], [effect]" lines in the Fell wording with resolved-event triggers. - Settled the mechanics: Worgar heals for Spirit, Mordel prevents the Bonus damage of a physical attack, Boreal the Base damage of a physical attack, Felionis the Base damage of a magic attack, Solmera applies an Affliction of your choice, Aquafin Drains the target and Restores a Fell on a strike. - Hexarach is spells only ("casts a spell, it automatically succeeds"). Removed the loose word "action" from the lorebound pages so auto-succeed can never read as any action. Touched: The Arsenal, all 18 Lorebound ability pages. ## 2026-06-16 — Lorebounds: Branching and Crown options synced to the BondForge vocabulary Aligned the canon lorebound options with the shared component vocabulary BondForge uses, so every lorebound, canon or player-forged, draws from one option set. - Rewrote the Branching and Crown options on all 18 lorebound ability pages to match the BondForge catalog wording exactly, including Combat Effect names carrying their definition in parentheses. - Normalized Pushed to "moved 3 spaces directly away" to match the Combat Effects table. - Initial Aspects were left unchanged this pass. They still read "ally" and use declaration-style triggers, which now differs from the "Fell" and resolved-event wording in the synced options. Flagged for a follow-up. Touched: The Arsenal, all 18 Lorebound ability pages. ## 2026-06-16 — Wakes: naming the brand effect, splitting it from Pales Gave the brand's battlefield effect a name and drew the line between it and Pales. - A brand call now raises a Wake. The greater and lesser are the greater Wake and the lesser Wake. Mechanics are unchanged, the effect just has a name. - Defined Wake on the Brands page. A Wake binds a side and cannot be escaped by moving, where a Pale is ground you stand in and can step out of. Discord can raise any Wake because he wears every brand. - Folded the Wake wording into all 36 brand pages, the table header and the At the Table note. - Added a one-line pointer on the Pales page marking the Wake as its cousin. Hallow and Maw stay Pales. No standalone Wake page. Touched: The Customization (Brands), The Lore (all 36 Brand pages), the Pales page in The Combat. ## 2026-06-16 — Brands: system finalized and all 36 worlds written Finished the Brand system and wrote it through to the wiki. - Reworked the main Brands page. Calling now rolls 1d6 per participant, the most common result wins, and ties go to the lower number. A 1 or 6 raises the greater answer, a 2 through 5 the lesser. Added the bound and favored framing, the single-creature versus whole-field scope, and the rule that what the world raises cannot be escaped by moving. - Split the two answers by kind. The lesser is an Affliction and breaks out on its listed skill. The greater breaks the rules of the fight, does not break out, and holds until the battle ends. - Added Severing the Call. A Fell caught in a greater answer may collapse it for everyone by spending their whole round and half their maximum Vitality for the rest of the battle, a loss no healing restores. There is no roll. - Wrote all 36 brand pages with lore, an In Battle flavor pass, the greater and lesser table, an At the Table note, and Outside Battle roleplay uses. Each greater is unique across the worlds and each lesser is a distinct Affliction. - Changed Valoria's Ectolume greater from the old damage tax to raising the fallen for the favored side, set as the deliberate opposite of Pandemonium's Gravenry, where the dead stay gone. - Fixed turn-order wording on the Pale pages to round, Act, and React language. Touched: The Customization (Brands), The Lore (all 36 Brand pages), the Pale pages in The Combat and LoreVault. ## 2026-06-15 — Brands: calling mechanic and first world (Ectolume) - Built out the Brands system, the Fell's access to Pales. A brand is a world's magic, a shard of the broken godhood that quickens each world, reached by standing on that world. Discord can call them because Discord was Malvaro, who branded every world onto his skin. - Filled the empty player-facing `6 - The Customization/Brands.md` with the lore, the in-combat description, the universal calling rules, and the unlock. - Calling rules (universal): everyone joining the call rolls 1d6, most common number answers, ties go low. High roll turns the power on enemies, low roll on the Fell. Alone or under half the band binds one named creature (or the Fell on a low roll). More than half the band turns the whole battlefield. A called effect cannot be left until broken out, by a Fellmark on the listed skill during an Act. Field effects lift only once all caught have broken free. - Unlock: a brand is claimed by spending uninvested Lore Points once the LoreMaster judges the world's mark earned. Off-world use costs more or comes through Spindle. Ties the brand economy to Spindle's uninvested-Lore trade. - Each world defines two pales, mirrored across who they land on. A 1 or 6 is the greater pale, a 2 to 5 the lesser, same effect, opposite side. Breakouts match the effect, never the brand's keyed stat (the keyed attribute is now lore identity only, since its spread across worlds is uneven). - Wrote the first real brand rules onto `Ectolume.md`, keeping the existing lore untouched. The Host (1 and 6): the bound take Base Damage on each Act or React they use, breakout Temper. The Cold Procession (2 to 5): Terrorized, breakout Conviction. Base Damage uses the target's own Power, so a multi-caller call has no ambiguity. Added In Battle flavor and an Outside Battle roleplay list. The other 35 brand pages still carry their lore plus the old rebuild placeholder. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns, Chapter 7 (The Corrupted Council), finale - Added Storyline/07 - The Corrupted Council, the campaign finale. The Fell ride the dying corruption back to the surface, return to a Rib'Xotal where the blooms are healing, and turn the city against its rulers. Run-Loh, the hermit, is revealed as the last living member of the original council and put down on the steps of the ziggurat. The truth is shown to the city, and Za'Mak is made head of a new council. - Vorthaz revised (confirmed): the monster never existed, but the man did. He was a Fell from another world the original council murdered as ritual fuel, then made into a bogeyman. His skull is the relic Run-Loh called the council. - Rewrote Run-Loh (revealed villain, killed). Renamed the faction record to The Council of Rib'Xotal and updated it through the overthrow. New artifact The Council (the remnant made from Vorthaz's skull, now Harold's). - Updated Za'Mak (head of the new council), Gib'Do (keeps its books), Gleep (underfoot in it), and Harold the (carries the Council remnant). - No send-offs for the Fell. They stayed in Mireth, fate unknown, off after lost cities in the healed jungle. Of Withering Thorns is complete. Kept the close to the records and changelog rather than CANON.md, since the Withering's resolution is local to Mireth, not Sphere-level cosmology. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns, Chapter 6 (The Bloom Breaks) - Added Storyline/06 - The Bloom Breaks: the Fell rest, then go back into the rift and finish the Bloomwither. The rot turns on itself, the corruption comes apart and sinks into the deep, and the Xochitli above begin to heal. They loot, level, and set out to climb back up to Rib'Xotal and the council. - Updated The Bloomwither to its defeat (origin still unrevealed, per prior call). - This chapter fills the gap between the Chapter 5 cliffhanger and the finale. The Bloomwither's death was its own session. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns, Chapter 5 (The Bloomwither) - Added Storyline/05 - The Bloomwither: the Fell choose the Rootheart over the Council, reach the sinkhole, calm the guardian vines with the brand, and meet the Guardian of the Grove, who names their task and pulls them down into the rift. Below they find the Bloomwither, the corruption the Council's seal was holding down. The fight goes badly, they cut down two of its limbs, cannot finish it, and retreat to rest. The creature still lives. Cliffhanger. - New records: The Rootheart (location, the sinkhole and the rift below it), The Guardian of the Grove (character), and The Bloomwither (bestiary, origin held back since none of it surfaced in play). - Updated Harold the: a Bloomwither vine tore his arm off in the rift. He forced it back on and fought through, but it is mangled for good now. Recorded as a permanent injury. - Held the prep doc's Bloomwither backstory and the merge-or-destroy choice for later, since the fight is unfinished. The Council remains a live open thread, on hold rather than abandoned. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns, Chapter 4 (Revelation) - Added Storyline/04 - Revelation: the Fell reach Xul'Tec, and Emperion's vision completes the truth. There was never a Vorthaz. The Council of Rib'Xotal drained the Xochitli to seal a rift a hundred years ago, killed the jungle doing it, and invented the monster to take the blame. The tomb is empty. Council Cleaners ambush them, nearly wipe the party, and lose. The Fell recover a map to the Rootheart. - Rewrote Vorthaz the Hollow from villain to fabrication. The page now records the lie and the crime it covered, not a person. - New records: The Council (the local ruling body of Rib'Xotal, distinct from the Bloom Synod, the real antagonist), Council Cleaners (bestiary), and the Rootheart Map (artifact, with the deepest layer held back as a hidden note: the rift is a door over a far older wound). - Updated Xul'Tec (the Fell went inside and found the truth). - The Rootheart kept to records only, no page yet, since the Fell have not gone there. The rift sealing is now shown in play; what the rift actually holds remains the last hidden layer. - Held the Run-Loh spy question as an open thread, not canon. It is player speculation for now. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns, Chapter 3 (The Longsloths) - Added Storyline/03 - The Longsloths: the Fell trade the golden statue to Gib'Do for a golden augur, travel toward Xul'Tec, meet the hermit Run-Loh and his "frog-shaped lie," talk past the Egovines, and fight the Longsloths at the threshold of the ruins. They reach Xul'Tec but do not enter. - New records: Run-Loh (character), the Longsloths and the Egovines (bestiary), the Golden Augur (artifact), and a short Xul'Tec location page (arrival and exterior only). - Updated the Golden Frog Statue (now traded to Gib'Do) and Gib'Do (deal closed, gave the augur). - Seeded the reveal to come, at the hidden tier: Run-Loh's record and Vorthaz's record now carry that Vorthaz may be the frog-shaped lie, a faceless name covering the Council that sealed the Rift. Not yet shown in play; the reveal is held for next session. - Held all of the prep doc's Xul'Tec reveal content (the Council, the Cleaners, the Rootheart map) for next session, since none of it happened in play. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns, Chapter 2 (Conveyor Carousel) - Added Storyline/02 - Conveyor Carousel: the Fell reach Rib'Xotal, fail to move the Council, break into the archives and pull a vision of a hundred-year-old elder rite that withered the Xochitli, fight the stone guardians twice, wreck the Croaking Cauldron, and trade a golden statue to the merchant Gib'Do for word that Vorthaz has gone to Xul'Tec. - New records: Gib'Do (character), the Stone Toad Guardians (bestiary), the Croaking Cauldron and the Rib'Xotal Archives (locations), and the Golden Frog Statue (artifact). - Updated Vorthaz the Hollow: he has gone to the ruins of Xul'Tec, birthplace of the Xochitli (player-facing), and seeded the hidden tie, the elders' rite was the price of growing the cover over the Rift Below, and Xul'Tec is where that cover lies thinnest. - Did not duplicate the existing Mireth stratum page or its description of Rib'Xotal. Xul'Tec is noted inside records rather than given its own page, since the Fell have not reached it, and is distinct from Xul'Veka on the stratum page. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns follow-ups - Renamed the Risen Fell to Emperion (was Empyrion) and swept the spelling across the chapter and his profile. - Set Frank's home world to Mireleor, the Ironclad world. - Threaded Vorthaz the Hollow to the Rift Below in his record: the dying blooms are the Withering thinning the cover the Xochitli were grown to be, uncovering the far older wound beneath the Rootheart. Kept as a truth not yet shown to the Fell in play. ## 2026-06-15 — Of Withering Thorns begins, Chapter 1 - Opened a new campaign, Of Withering Thorns, set in Mireth, mirroring the Valoria folder structure (Storyline, Characters, Locations, Bestiary, Artifacts, Events). - Added Storyline/01 - Welcome to the Jungle: three summoned Fell wake in a dying grove of Xochitli, are recruited by the Fribbit brothers Gleep and Za'Mak to save the blooms from Vorthaz the Hollow, and survive a first swarm of Needledrags, dying into Pandemonium and clawing back. - New campaign records: Gleep, Za'Mak, and Vorthaz the Hollow (characters), and the Needledrags (bestiary). - Added the three player Fell to Canon Characters: Harold the (Fribbit Champion), Frank (Ironclad Subduer), and Empyrion (Risen Healer). - Left the existing Sphere-level Mireth pages untouched: the Mireth stratum, the Xochitli brand (Petalooming), the Fribbit lineage, the Lumitoad, and Pandemonium are already written and were not duplicated. ## 2026-06-15 — Restore Glower - The finale commit overwrote the existing Glower profile by accident. Restored the original page, which already covers the Riftrunners, the rescue of Lantern at the end of the Veiled Queen campaign, and the later Ironclad rebuild. No content from it was lost. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 13, Grave of the King (finale) - Added Storyline/13 - Grave of the King, the finale of the Shattering of Valoria. At Castle Valoria the Fell refuse the deal, fight the Veiled Queen as she reforges the Crown, draw Sunderbane from the statue of King Arandon, and Whip erases her with it. Calevar is restored and crowned, the realm remembers its king, and the Fell scatter. - New records: Castle Valoria (location), The Fall of the Veiled Queen (event), and Glower (the First Riftrunner, his own page). - Marked the Veiled Queen destroyed in her record and in CANON.md, the first Aspect of Discord to fall, with Discord itself surviving. - Closed the Crown of Valoria (reforged, erased on the Queen's head, traded back to Calevar) and corrected the shard tally: only the third shard was ever the Fell's to lose, the other two stayed with Calevar. - Resolved the Serena hook: she was forced to take the third shard at the Broken Spire, freed at the Queen's death, later wed to Bullsworth. - Updated Sunderbane (hidden in Arandon's statue, now carried by Whip in Valoria), and the send-offs in the PC pages: Whip stays with Sunderbane and his army, Willo leaves with Spindle, Bullsworth stays and marries Serena. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 12, The Betrayer - Added Storyline/12 - The Betrayer. The Fell take the Ember Fort, confront Vaelric, the Queen's puppet, kill him twice over as he becomes her lava dragon, and cut the fifth shard from its heart. Alden is freed of the Queen's threads, names King Arandon's castle as the summoning site, declares the Fell worthy, and Whip executes him for the hand he raised mid-fight. Whip takes the fourth shard from his body and leashes the dragon's head. - New record: Vaelric (campaign character, his lava-dragon form folded in). Rewrote Alden the Faithful for his redemption and death. Updated the Crown of Valoria: the Fell now hold the fourth and fifth shards, the Queen holds the other three, all five to converge at the castle. - Folded in ruling A on the betrayal. Vaelric was the Council of Five member who turned the rest against Arandon from within; Brannis stays the Veil-pacted hand who drove Sunderbane. Reconciled across CANON.md, Lord Brannis, King Arandon, Lady Seraphina, and The Veiled. - Whip's record updated for Alden's execution and the leashed dragon head. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 11, The Ember Fort - Added Storyline/11 - The Ember Fort. The Fell reach the Cradle of Embers, scout the fort from the ridge, argue every way in, and end up cutting through four Cinder Knights at a gate. Bullsworth dies twice and Whip resurrects him. The fight goes unnoticed by the city and they camp in the streets. - New record: The Cinder Knights (bestiary). Rewrote the Cradle of Embers now that the Fell have seen it, naming the Ember Fort, Vaelric as its master, the Volari Remnants and Cinderbound among the defenders, and the Pyrefused that climb from the lava. - Made Lantern's stone-deep sleeping canon in his record. - Held Vaelric's own page until he appears next session. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 10, Maven's Emporium - Added Storyline/10 - Maven's Emporium. On the road to the Cradle the Fell find Maven, a trader hiding an emporium beneath a ruined shack who will not deal with anyone bound to the Veiled Queen. Once she reads them clean they trade through the night, take her faster and harder road, and fight a molten coil at a lava gorge that fells the very tree they cross on. - New records: Maven (campaign character, the Emporium folded in) and The Molten Coil (bestiary). - Flipped the Cradle of Embers from the volcanic south to the volcanic north across the Crown of Valoria, the Cradle of Embers location, and Chapter 09. - Held all Cradle fortress prep until it is played. Vaelric confirmed as the name and spelling for when it lands. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 09, Alden the Faithful - Added Storyline/09 - Alden the Faithful (the Fell jump the cathedral's warden, beat him twice through a Veil-driven second wind, leash him to Whip, and take the Blade of Judgment but not the shard). - Added Events/The Trial of Alden, Artifacts/The Blade of Judgment (remnant carried by Bullsworth), and Locations/The Cradle of Embers (volcanic south, fifth shard). - Rewrote Characters/Alden the Faithful: defeated and bound, gone silent, still holds the unyielded fourth shard until the Fell prove worthy. Council-of-Five conspiracy kept as the hidden truth. - Reconciled Artifacts/The Crown of Valoria: the shards the Fell had gathered are gone from them and appear back with the Queen; fourth held by Alden, fifth in the Cradle. - Added a hidden note to Characters/Serena: she was forced to take the gathered shards back to the Queen (buried hook to resolve by campaign's end). - Whip's Enlisted updated to include Alden. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 08, The Sunken Cathedral - Added Storyline Chapter 08 (The Sunken Cathedral) and the event The Sentinel's Bargain. Down a guardian, the Fell break into the cathedral, wake and destroy the four Drowned Sentinels, and bargain passage from a fifth paladin who names the cathedral's keeper, Alden the Faithful, and warns of his cursed Blade of Judgment. - New records: a Drowned Sentinels bestiary page. Alden the Faithful reworked so his name, his Council of Five seat, his guardianship, and his betrayal of Arandon are now known to the Fell, with the full council conspiracy kept Hidden, plus the Blade of Judgment. Whip's Enlisted updated with the swamp and cathedral recruits. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 07, The Veiled Swamp - Added Storyline Chapter 07 (The Veiled Swamp) and the event The Vision in the Veiled Swamp. The Fell cross the swamp toward the Sunken Cathedral, fight off the Murmock, are warned by a ghost child, and glimpse Calevar tortured in the Queen's realm through a rune, surfacing the name Alden before the Queen marks them watching her. A drowned choir falls at the doors and the Fell make camp on the threshold. - New records: Bestiary pages for the Murmock and the Sunken Choir, the Sunken Cathedral and the Veiled Swamp locations, and Alden the Faithful (Hidden, a Council of Five paladin complicit in Arandon's death, now the cathedral's bound warden). Calevar updated with the rune sighting. - Locked the Council of Five in CANON.md as the name of the council Brannis turned against Arandon, with Alden named among its members. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 06, Brokering Peace - Added Storyline Chapter 06 (Brokering Peace) and the Broken Spire Accord event. The Fell unmask the spy in Alaric's camp, stage his death at the Broken Spire, and cut the Veiled Queen's shard from Lady Seraphina's skull, loosing a puppet of the Queen in the process. Peace is brokered, Seraphina is freed, and the third shard of the Crown is recovered. The climax reads as the Queen's doing on the surface, since the world does not yet know Discord is the hand behind her. - Folded the session into records. Seraphina freed and at peace, Alaric holding Brannis's old country bound to Eldervale under Elara, Serena's parting with Bullsworth, Willo's Rainbow Trout title and the recovered shard, and Whip's Enlisted (his band of recruits bound through a working of his own crafting, now including the leashed puppet). Crown of Valoria updated to three shards held, two remaining. Broken Spire noted as Brannis' Tower and as the site of the accord. ## 2026-06-15 — Council-complicity ruling - Folded in the canon ruling on Arandon's death. Brannis, pacted with the Veil, turned Arandon's own council against him, Lady Seraphina among them, and they are all complicit in the murder. The Crown still shattered when Sunderbane erased the king. Recorded in CANON.md and in the Brannis, Arandon, and Seraphina records. - Seraphina's complicity is set as the buried truth the Fell do not yet know, and the hook the shard in her skull feeds on. Discarded the earlier idea that Arandon sought to seal the Veiled Queen before his erasure. It did not happen. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 05 transcript fixes - Reconciled Chapter 05 to the actual stream transcript. The Silver Talon is Seraphina's standing office for her right hand, the title her head knight held for a decade, not a one-time honor. Added Serena's warded warning, where she tells Willo in secret that the shard is in her mother's skull and the Queen is corrupting her through it, before Seraphina admits to it. - Added the Soulthread talent that came with Inkmelding from Spindle, the Veiled Queen's own puppet power turned back on her. Recorded in Spindle's Bargain and Willo's page as flavor, not mechanics. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 05, The Silver Talon, recorded - Added Storyline Chapter 05, The Silver Talon, the return to Lady Seraphina. Serena is home and cured, Willo is named Seraphina's Silver Talon, and the lady is revealed to carry a crown shard worked into her own skull by the Veiled Queen. - The Fell are sent to end the rebellion in the Verdant Hills, find Seraphina's soldiers burning her own villages, and learn the rebel leader is Alaric Thorn, brother of Mayor Elara Thorn. Willo tells him the truth instead of killing him, and they set a plan to stage his death and send Elara as an envoy to draw Seraphina out. - Spindle steps through a rift and trades Willo the brand of Inkmelding, a power from another world that cloaks her from the Queen, for a Paragon. This is the rare cross-world brand case from the standing rule, with Spindle the Brandbroker as the mechanism. - New records: Alaric Thorn, the Verdant Hills, and the events The Shard in the Skull, The Verdant Hills Rebellion, and Spindle's Bargain. - Updated Lady Seraphina (the shard, the Silver Talon naming, her war on her own people), Mayor Elara Thorn (her brother Alaric), Willo (her sacrifice, immunity, title, and Inkmelding), and Lantern (leg restored). - Standardized the mayor's name to Elara Thorn and used Alaric Thorn to match. Kept Spindle's aether lenses and did not introduce the Riftrunner term. ## 2026-06-15 — Chapter 04, The Chalice Guardian, recorded - Added Storyline Chapter 04, The Chalice Guardian, the Sanctuary Arvonis session. Willo gives up the memories of her old life she had recovered to free the Chalice, then the Veiled Queen takes both the Chalice and Calevar, and the Veiled Herald sets his bargain. - Willo's sacrifice is written as the loss of her recovered memories rather than skill terms, which mirrors the Queen's own self-erasure. - New records: the events The Sacrifice at the Chalice and The Veiled Herald's Bargain, and the location King Arandon's Castle, the hall where Arandon was slain and the site the Queen names for the gathering. - Folded outcomes into existing records: Serena healed and human, the Chalice now in the Queen's hands, the Crown updated to two shards held and three located (Seraphina's skull, the sunken cathedral, the Cradle of Embers), Calevar taken, the Herald's Arvonis bargain, the Chalice Guardian fleshed out with its sacrifice demand and the Chainblade nightmare, and the dragon-door spirit added to Sanctuary Arvonis. - The Herald confirms on stream that the corruption runs from an entity far above the Queen through the artifact that broke the crown, which lines up with the Veiled Queen retcon. ## 2026-06-15 — The four Fell added to Canon Characters - Added pages for the four Fell alongside Malvaro and Spindle: Whip (Bogle, Sable), Willo (Sylvakith, Eldarwyn), Bullsworth (Flayed, Akkoroka), and Lantern (Hallowed, Elysara). Lineages and home worlds confirmed against CANON.md. - Each page holds lineage, home world, and what the campaign has established so far. Motivations and Origins left as not yet set, to fill in a later pass. ## 2026-06-15 — Veiled Queen retcon, origin reworked across campaign and canon - Reworked the Veiled Queen's origin. She was Arandon's wife and Calevar's mother, queen of a whole Valoria. Brannis's erasure of Arandon took her husband and her son from her at once, and her grief opened the wound Discord poured through. She is the consequence of the fall, not its cause. - Added the depth Nate called for: she erased her own history from the world by her own choice, and now hunts and erases anything that resembles the past she can no longer remember, her own son included. - Brannis now pacts with the Veil, a disguised face of Discord that reached him through Sunderbane, not with the Queen, who did not exist until his crime made her. Both Tetherghasting visions updated to match (Storyline 02 and The Fall of the Broken Spire). - Hints added on Calevar (the Queen's hold reads as recognition) and King Arandon (his queen and her fate). Leaned into the cabin echo, the snare wearing the shape of her own loss, on the Cabin event and the Veiled Queen's Forest. - CANON.md: noted the Veiled Queen as the one Aspect that was once a living person, the shard taking root in Arandon's widowed queen. - Files touched: The Veiled Queen (Aspect), Lord Brannis, King Arandon, Calevar, The Veiled Queen's Forest, The Cabin in the Veiled Queen's Forest, Storyline 02, The Fall of the Broken Spire, CANON.md. ## 2026-06-15 — Spindle skill term updated to current canon - Spindle's skill focus moved from the retired "Shadows" to "Resonance," following the same mapping CANON.md uses for the Shadowkin lineage. No other retired skill names were found in the campaign canon or the Canon Characters pages. ## 2026-06-15 — The Shattering of Valoria recorded under The Histories - Added campaign canon for The Shattering of Valoria under The Histories, the full backlog from the awakening in the Whispering Woods through the streamed Sanctuary Arvonis session. 40 files. - Storyline (3): A Shattered Legacy, The Broken Spire, Sanctuary Arvonis. - Characters (9): Calevar, King Arandon, Lord Brannis, Halar, Serena, Lady Seraphina, Garrik the Old, Mayor Elara Thorn, the Veiled Herald. The Veiled Queen was not duplicated, she stays an Aspect of Discord under Astral Entities. - Locations (7), Bestiary (10), Artifacts (5), Events (6) under the same campaign folder. - Sunderbane reconciled to canon as the Madstone reforged by Draedon that slew Malvaro, surfacing centuries later for Brannis to erase King Arandon and break Valoria. Same blade. - Tetherghasting left as written, pending the brand pass. ## 2026-06-15 — Malvaro and Spindle cleaned to house voice - Cleaned the two surviving Canon Characters pages, both Sphere-level figures kept in place. Stripped frontmatter, wiki links, and numbered prefixes, removed em dashes, semicolons, and dramatic ellipses, and rewrote a few AI-tell constructions (a "not X, but Y" in each). Profile layout and meaning preserved. - Flag: Spindle's skill focus still lists "Shadows," a retired skill name. Left as-is, since remapping it is a mechanics call for the brand and skill pass, not a voice cleanup. ## 2026-06-15 — Canon Characters folder cleared for The Histories rebuild - Removed 26 empty character stubs from Characters/Canon Characters (Acantha, Agnes, Astra, Birch, Bullsworth, Caedril, Calevar, Cordelia, Draedon, Emperion, Flint, Glower, Greeting Oak, Hayjack, Kalinda, Kreven, Lantern, Magnus, Mozzle, Rysen, Shroomy, Steelheart, Tarkus, Twiggy, Whip, Willo). The campaign cast will be rebuilt under The Histories as canon is recorded. - Preserved Malvaro.md, founding-arc canon and an authoritative source page named in CANON.md, and Spindle.md, which still holds a written profile. Both await Nate's call before any move or removal. - Links pointing at the removed stubs will resolve again once the campaign cast is rebuilt under The Histories. ## 2026-06-14 — Pipeline and canon foundation - Established the GitHub sync pipeline (repo as source of truth, Obsidian Git plugin on the home machine, Claude pushing edits from a sandbox clone). - Verified the sync loop end to end with a test edit to Overview, then removed it. - Confirmed Vigor lanes from the live vault: the three-lane system (Endurance, Renewal, Resolve) is canon. The five-lane set is retired and survives only in Archive. - Pulled the core mechanic, attribute and skill tables, combat structure, attack resolution, and Luck rules from the current files into `CANON.md`. - Created `_Canon/` with `CANON.md`, `STYLE.md`, and this log. Added `_Canon/` to publish exclusions so it stays off the public site. - Fixed the Luck page: "Recovery roll" corrected to "Renewal roll" (only occurrence in the live vault). Confirmed by Nate. - Created a player-facing `Patch Notes.md` at the FellGuide top level for published change tracking, separate from this dev log. - Broadened the Patch Notes update to cover the full skill-system rebuild (skills now span all eight attributes, including the defensive lines under Evasion, Durability, and Resistance). - Reattributed the Patch Notes send-off from The Archivist to The LoreMaster and corrected "the Discord" to "Discord." - Added Naming and Voice Conventions to CANON.md: Discord takes no article as the force; The LoreMaster is the in-world narrator for meta pages. - Scoped "the Discord" across the vault. The two other hits ("the Discord community," "the Discord Wars") are correct usage and were left unchanged. - Began the world (Stratum) canon initiative. 31 of 34 world pages are empty stubs; Karn, Mireleor, and Sellenia are written but use the old em-dash style. Pushed a Mireth sample page (built from the LoreVault spreadsheet) as a format proposal. - Pushed a Felidae sample as the thin-world template (identity and Brand filled from the sheet, deeper canon left as a "to develop" callout rather than invented). - Confirmed three missing world files to create: Amaranthia, The Scere, Pandemonium. (Pyranthia and Nexus Realms appear in adventure data but are not Stratums in the identity sheet.) - Found the brand files under "Brands of Magic/The Brands" carry outdated mechanics and retired skill names (e.g., Bloodband lists a Toughness skill base). Flagged for a dedicated brand-cleanup batch: strip mechanics to broad lore now, re-add player rules later. ### Batch A complete — world page rewrites - Rewrote Karn, Mireleor, and Sellenia into house voice. Stripped em dashes, ellipses, wiki-link prefixes, and frontmatter; added the at-a-glance callout for consistency; kept Brand sections broad; aligned Current Challenges to the LoreVault sheet (Vaegra and the Eternal Host for Karn, the Seeker and the Hexbroker for Mireleor, the eclipse and memory cost for Sellenia). ### Batch B complete — missing worlds created - Created Amaranthia (the Rysen, Luminarch) and The Scere (the Vate, Scerinyx) as thin templates with "to develop" callouts. - Created Pandemonium (the Wyspar, Gravenry), the prison-realm of Discord. Fuller page kept atmospheric, with forbidden-tier truths (other ancient things sealed there, the prison predating the Skyvault) rendered as dread and rumor rather than stated fact. ### Batch C (part 1) complete — rich worlds - Wrote full canon pages for Valoria (the Dweller, Ectolume), Vyrathis (the Vyrathe, Hazenry), and Sporion (the Capling, Mycognosis), synthesized from the LoreVault sheet. Brand sections broad; deeper truths leaned toward dread where they sit at the forbidden tier (Sunderbane's purpose, the Sporion regrowths). ### Batch C complete — rich worlds - Part 1: Valoria (Ectolume), Vyrathis (Hazenry), Sporion (Mycognosis). - Part 2: Shadakar (Inkthraal), Kwuhara (Khaldurgy), Burhallow (Echochurn/Luckchurning). All synthesized from the LoreVault sheet, Brand sections broad, forbidden truths kept as dread. ### Batch D group 1 complete — thin templates - Created templates for Mortavia, Brimsever, Therion, Garyx, Vulkaris, and Wylv. Each carries identity and Brand, recorded mystery hooks where the sheet had them (Mortavia's pyres, Brimsever's tainted flames), and a "to develop" callout. ### Batch D group 2 complete — thin templates - Created templates for Wildermire, Sylvanoth, Verdantia, Eldarwyn, Neriad, and Avemriol. Folded in recorded mystery hooks for Wildermire (unstable leyline control) and Verdantia (the great tree and seasonal balance). ### Batch D group 3 complete — thin templates - Created templates for Akkoroka, Crixalis, Scitnix, Natbakka, Sable, and Oroniel. ### Batch D group 4 complete — WORLD CANON FIRST PASS DONE - Created templates for Elysara, Thaloryn, Ursathar, Shervinaw. This completes the first pass: all 36 Stratum world pages are now populated and in house voice. - Tally: 9 rich pages (Mireth, Karn, Mireleor, Sellenia, Valoria, Vyrathis, Sporion, Shadakar, Kwuhara, Burhallow) and the rest as templates with "Canon to develop" callouts. Only "The Stratums" overview remains a stub. ### Stratums overview + Other Realms folder - Rewrote "The Stratums" overview from a stub into an intro plus a table of all 36 worlds (World / Lineage / Brand), with a callout pointing to Other Realms. - Added Stratums/Other/ with a folder note and pages for Pyranthia (nexus-world tied to Zarathis, restricted lore) and the Nexus Realms (dimensional spaces, Phantom Delights, the Nexus Patrons). Both written from the LoreVault adventure data, Hidden/Forbidden truths kept as dread. - Flagged a naming conflict: Pyranthia's displaced "Dwellers" share a name with Valoria's Dweller lineage. Needs a ruling, not silently reconciled. ### Dweller / Seeker canon locked in - Nate confirmed: the Dwellers are one Sphere-wide lineage (best known on Valoria, secret Mireleor origin as the Ironclad's creators), and the Seeker is Malvaro, who became Discord. Verified against The Fallen Lore, the Malvaro character page, the Dwellers lineage page, and Aspects of Discord. All consistent, nothing invented. - Recorded the founding arc and reveal tiers in CANON.md under a new "Cosmology and Hidden Lore" section. - Resolved the Pyranthia Dwellers flag, replacing it with an "On the Dwellers" note. Mireleor's Seeker framing confirmed accurate, left unchanged. ### Lineage bonus reconciliation (all 36 aligned to current canon) - Reconciled every lineage page's creation bonus against Nate's authoritative table. 25 pages were still on the old skill system and were corrected: Shadowkin (Shadows to Resonance), Arboril (Trickery to Creation), Rekindled (Tenacity to Renewal), Vyrathe (Vitality to Spirit), Capling (Inspection to Trickery), Elken (Tracking to Elusion), Spireborn (Elemental to Weaving), Harrowed (Resistance to Conviction), Nyseen (Vigor to a skill or attribute of choice), Bogle (Speechcraft to Presence), Flayed (Mysticism to Bearing), Trinumite (Sneaking to Guard), Sylvakith (Running to Reflex), Wyspar (Lockpicking to Vigor), Marrowkai (Toughness to Temper), Fribbit (Jumping to Movement), Din (Dual Wielding to Finesse), Rysen (Memory to Lore), Vate (Arcane to Sanctum), Corvid (Observation to Vigilance), Wolfir (Recovery to Resistance), Thurani (Lifting to Might), Dwellers (Resilience to Resolve), Sprittle (Balance to Poise), Shrewish (Climbing to Anchor). - 10 were already correct. Harfolk keeps its custom "extra lucky die for Treasure Rolls" bonus per Nate (equivalent to its Luck entry). The Unwritten left as-is (custom options, not in the table). ### Aspect of Discord pages created - Added four Aspect pages in the Aspects of Discord folder (currently under Characters): The Inkwight (Shadakar), The Crimson Haze (Vyrathis), The Veiled Queen (Valoria), and The Hollow Echo (the drifting fragment of Malvaro). House voice, consistent with the existing overview, each tying a world threat to a fragment of Malvaro's unmade soul. - Did not create a new Discord overview: one already exists at Characters/Astral Entities/Discord.md. Left the existing Aspects of Discord overview untouched (it still uses wiki links and em dashes, as Nate's original). - Placement note: the Aspects folder currently sits under Characters as a sibling of Astral Entities. Recommended nesting it inside Astral Entities next to Discord. Awaiting Nate. ### Aspects nested under Astral Entities + overview cleaned - Moved Characters/Aspects of Discord into Characters/Astral Entities/Aspects of Discord, next to Discord, so the force and its fragments live together as entities. - Rewrote the Aspects of Discord overview in house voice: stripped all wiki links and em dashes, removed semicolons and the "not X but Y" construction. Meaning preserved. - Standing instruction from Nate: clean up em dashes and wiki links on any file touched going forward. ### Brand files cleaned + Mireth brand corrected - Audit found only 4 of 37 brand files needed work. Cleaned Aethercraft, Bloodband, and Hazenry: removed the old mechanics blocks (Skill Base, Base Ability, Talents built on retired skills), aligned each practice verb to Nate's Brands table (Aethershaping/Craft, Bloodbinding/Bind, Ashletting/Ashlet), rewrote the lore to house voice, and left a short "Mechanics being rebuilt" placeholder. The other 32 files were already clean. - Cleaned The Brands index: stripped wiki links and em dashes, replaced retired-skill references (Memory, Lockpicking) with correct brand flavor for Amaranthia's Luminarch and Pandemonium's Gravenry. - Corrected the Stratums overview: Mireth's Brand is Xochitli (Petalooming is its verb). - Confirmed Thyricon is canon; the Brands table "Thryicon" is a typo, no change needed. ### Brands table recorded + Aspects threaded into world pages - Added the full Brands master table (lineage, bonus, type, brand, verb/practice, world) to CANON.md, reproduced from Nate's table with Thyricon corrected. - Threaded a faint deepest-dread bullet into the Current Challenges of Shadakar, Vyrathis, and Valoria, hinting that the Inkwight, Crimson Haze, and Veiled Queen are faces of one shadow across the Sphere, without naming Malvaro or Discord. Valoria's leans hardest, since that is where the unmaking happened. ### The Sphere and The Skyvault written out - Expanded both cornerstone cosmology pages under The Sphere from stubs. The Sphere covers the weave of Stratums, Lore as the binding memory, Discord's erosion, and the Fell. The Skyvault covers the prison the last Knights of Fell raised from their own sacrifice within Pandemonium to seal Discord, its Shards, and the dread that it is failing. Grounded in the intro lore, the Skyvault Shards definition, and The Fallen Lore. Frontmatter and wiki links stripped. ### Sellenia upgraded to full canon from the lore bible - Rewrote the Sellenia world page from the lore bible, clearing earlier conflicts: one Eternal Moon rather than seven, the Lunarians and Nocturnai as kin rather than the same people, real settlements (Selene, Aethralis, Noctis, Moonfall Reach, the Silverwild, the Veiled Reflection), and grounded threats (corrupted Mirror Lakes, Forsaken infiltration, the unstable Silent Weave, the first fracture stirring). Dropped the invented eclipse and Pinnacle of Eclipsia, the invented nations Taragon, Emfyre, and Aetheris, and the old Lunarian-as-Nocturnai conflation. - Wrote the Selvyrn brand file, which was previously empty, in house voice. - Switched the sample scenario setting from Valoria to Sellenia, since a wild Aerostrix belongs in Sellenia. - Reviewed all other Sellenia mentions (The Fallen Lore, Malvaro, Spindle, the Lunarian lineage page, the Aerostrix lorebound page, the Stratums table). All consistent with the bible, no changes needed. ### Sporion upgraded to full canon from the lore bible - Rewrote the Sporion world page from the lore bible. Replaced the earlier porous hive-mind framing with the Caplings as individual mushroom-born cultivators, which matches the Capling lineage page. Reframed the Miregut as a colossal living organism and buried abyss rather than a world-wide recursive soul-corruption engine, keeping the dead-regrowth horror as a localized phenomenon in its deepest reaches. Added the real cities (Mycelara, Mycora, the Hanging Gardens of Velm, Deepcap Hollow, Koromyr, Hearthspore), the six factions, and the world's history (the First Bloom, the Age of Cultivation, the Great Consumption, the Memory Schism). Brand kept as Mycognosis and Mycospreading per the canon table. - Filled the Mycognosis brand file, which was previously empty, in house voice. - Reviewed all other Sporion mentions (the Capling lineage page, Pyranthia, Malvaro, the brand table, the Stratums table). All consistent, no changes. ### Fixed invisible bold text inside callouts - Added a publish.css rule so bold text inside callouts renders gold instead of navy. The global strong rule was painting bold navy, and callouts have a navy background, so bold labels (the at-a-glance stat blocks on every world page, and any bold in other callouts) were navy-on-navy and invisible. One-line theme fix, no content changes. ### Burhallow upgraded to full canon from the lore bible - Rewrote the Burhallow world page from the lore bible. Dropped the earlier rhythm-and-drum framing in favor of Luckchurning as luck-and-probability influence. Added the spoiler-tier core (the Echochurn distributes fate, the Fatewell beneath Mount Maelor is the true source), the Thousand Tunnels, the six settlements (Thimblehill, Fellwatch Tower, Burrowmarket, Luckhollow, Maelor's Reach, the Fatewell), the seven factions in brief, and the real monsters. Reframed the Silentchoir as fate-controllers who would collapse the future into one outcome, with the Hollowing kept as a contained campaign-specific thread (The Hollow Silence). Drakeliths set as revered star-dragons that are both bonded as mounts and hunted by poachers. - Filled the Echochurn brand file, which was previously empty, in house voice with a buried hint at the Fatewell. - Brand kept as Echochurn and Luckchurning per the canon table, no table changes. Harfolk lineage page, Drakelith lorebound page, Malvaro, and Spindle all already consistent, no changes. ### Vyrathis upgraded to full canon from the lore bible - Rewrote the Vyrathis world page from the lore bible and the Fallen Lore. Founded the world on Mordaine and the Forsaken (the Vyrathe as his cursed bloodline, House Mordaine ruling from Castle Veyr Mourne) instead of the earlier Court of Ashes origin. Added the Hollow Veins and the Hollowbound, the bible's six settlements plus Aegros as the ruined capital, the Pale Court fallen silent, and the Hexarach as the Lorebound. Reframed the Wyspar as ghosts of a Pandemonium lineage that leak through the cracks into Vyrathis, rather than native spirits. Kept the Crimson Haze unified with the Aspect of Discord and preserved the One Hand Behind the Mist hidden thread. The Court of Ashes (Kethra, Aegros) is kept as a contained campaign thread. - No brand change. Hazenry and Ashletting already matched the bible and the brand file was already written. The Crimson Haze Aspect page was left untouched (Aegros kept). Vyrathe lineage and Hexarach lorebound pages already consistent. ### Mireth upgraded to full canon from the lore bible - Rewrote the Mireth world page from the lore bible. Flipped the central crisis from the Withering (blooms dying) to the bible's Wild Bloom (divine overgrowth). Built the world as a Fribbit civilization of city-states with the Petal Wars history and the Bloom Synod peace, added the Sleeping Gods thread, the six city-states (Xol'Ratha, Rib'Xotal, Bloomspire, Rootgrave, the Verdant Basin, Xul'Veka), the eight factions, and the real monsters (Spinegloom Prowlers, Wild Bloom Husks, Ghostvine Stalkers). Set the Lumitoad as the Lorebound rather than a monster. Kept the Withering, the Rootheart, and the Rift Below as a contained campaign thread. - Filled the Xochitli brand file, which was previously empty, in house voice. - No brand or table change. Xochitli and Petalooming already matched the bible. Fribbit lineage and Lumitoad lorebound pages already consistent. ### Valoria upgraded to full canon from the lore bible - Rewrote the Valoria world page from the lore bible, keeping the existing core (the Withering as memory-rot, the shattered Crown, Arandon erased, the Veiled Queen retcon) and adding depth. Added the six strongholds (Eldervale and the Wallbridge, the Silver Veil Highlands under Seraphina, the Broken Spire of Brannis, Sanctuary Arvonis and the Chalice of Purity, the Cradle of Embers under Vaelric, Arandon's Keep), the eight factions, the Veiled Queen as a dedicated section, and the Runesteed as the Lorebound. Corrected Calevar to the Rekindled King (the corrupted captive heir) rather than a reigning king. Fixed monsters to Rendrals, Veilborn, and Dreadpelts, travel to Runesteeds and the old roads, and the warding light to faeliri lanterns. Dropped three world-page-only inventions that canon contradicts: Smithlocks (Sunderbane is Draedon's reforged Madstone per the artifact page), portal arches, and ectolite. - Filled the Ectolume brand file, which was previously empty, in house voice. - No brand or table change. Ectolume and Tetherghasting already matched. The Dwellers lineage page, the Runesteed lorebound page, the Veiled Queen Aspect page, and the Shattering of Valoria campaign folder are all untouched and uncontradicted. ### Infusions overhauled to the new catalog - Rebuilt the infusion system from the new Infusion Catalog. Each attribute now has 6 Core and 6 Additional infusions, 36 in total, up from 27. Created 13 new infusions (Precision: Hunting, Unerring, Reaping; Power: Unflagging, Barbed, Spilling, Hooking; Magic: Devouring, Emboldening, Cleansing, Overcharge, Welling, Rooting), updated every kept infusion to the catalog effect text, and tagged each as Core or Additional. Renumbered each folder so Core is 1 to 6 and Additional is 7 to 12, and removed the art embeds from the individual files for now. - Split each attribute overview into Core and Additional tables, and updated the main Infusions page with the Core/Additional framing and the earning rule (slots at levels 1, 4, and 8; the level-1 slot takes a Core infusion; Additional infusions fill the later slots and can also be earned from looted monsters and imprinting). - Moved the four retired infusions (Cleaving, Vampiric, Suffused, Sustaining) to the Archive folder rather than deleting them. ### Patch Notes entry for the infusion overhaul - Added a player-facing June 15, 2026 entry to the Patch Notes page describing the infusion rework (Core and Additional split, thirty-six total, where Additional infusions come from, and a note to reinfuse weapons that used a retired infusion). ### Augmentations overhauled and flattened - Rebuilt the augmentation system from the new list and flattened it. Augmentations no longer split by defensive attribute (Evasion, Durability, Resistance). They are now a single set of 20, six Core and fourteen Non-Core. Removed the three attribute subfolders and their overview pages, created 13 new augmentations, updated the kept seven (Mistform, Phantomfield, Oakspine, Runeguard, Shadowmeld, Echosight, Ironroot) to the new effect text, and tagged each Core or Non-Core. Dropped the Category line and the art embeds. Files are left unnumbered so existing wiki links keep working, with order conveyed by the overview tables. - Rewrote the main Augmentations overview with Core and Non-Core tables and the earning rule (a suit of armor earns augmentations at levels 4 and 8; the level-4 augmentation is Core; the level-8 augmentation is Non-Core, and Non-Core can also be earned from looted monsters). Rewrote the Armor Augmentations quick link to a flat Core/Non-Core list. - Moved the 11 retired augmentations (Mirrorcore, Scaleshell, Stoneheart, Whisperward, Windwalker, Aurabane, Diviner, Ghostchain, Nullbarrow, Spellbound, Veilforged) to the Archive folder rather than deleting them. ### LoreVault created with the Pales system - Created a new top-level LoreVault folder next to _Canon, the start of the LoreMaster rulebook and a separate build from the published FellGuide. Added an intro page (0 - The LoreVault.md) and the first system, Pales: the ruleset (0 - Pales.md) and the options table (Pale Options.md), brought over from the uploaded drafts in house voice. Fixed one semicolon in the ruleset. References to Discord Points, Disruptions, Vestments T3, Armor Stances, and the Treadlight/Hexward/Ironroot augmentations are left as plain text, since the LoreVault is its own vault. - Added a player-facing Pales page in the FellGuide at Combat 3.1.3, beside Afflictions, Combat Effects, and Impairments. It covers what a Pale is, how Armor Stances and the Treadlight, Hexward, and Ironroot augmentations interact with it, and a behavior-only table of the common Pales, with none of the LoreMaster cost machinery. ### Pales patch note, and Remnants given its own home on both sides - Added player-facing Patch Notes entries (June 15, 2026) for Pales and for Remnants. - Gave Remnants its own page under The Treasure, moving the writeup out of Loot.md (cleaned of an em dash, two dramatic ellipses, an image embed, and an orphaned closing line) and leaving a short pointer in Loot.md. The rest of Loot.md was left untouched. - Added a LoreMaster-facing Remnants page to the LoreVault (what a Remnant is, awarding them, and guidance for building them per world) and listed Remnants in the LoreVault systems index. ### Remnant ruleset, the First Remnants shelf, and Discord's Toll - Replaced the LoreVault Remnants placeholder with the full Remnant ruleset (priced not balanced, Boon and Bane, the four parts, slots and ascension, godhood, bound and unbound, authoring). Added the First Remnants shelf to the LoreVault: the world-bound Remnants, Sunderbane, the unbound Lost Remnants, and the authoring template. - Canon reconciliation per Nate's ruling: Sunderbane stays the Madstone reforged by Draedon Vesper. The Smithlocks studied its dimensional binding beneath Valoria but did not forge it. Adjusted both Remnant docs accordingly (the shelf's Sunderbane line and the ruleset's unbinding passage). The Valoria page was left as is, since it never claimed otherwise. Normalized the Eclipse Glass's world from Selennia to Sellenia. - Added Discord's Toll on both sides. Player side at Characters 2.3 (what the Toll is, how the Boon and Bane sit, and the eight Tolls). LoreMaster side in the LoreVault (marking a soul, running the Bane, Becoming Forsaken, authoring a Toll). Listed Discord's Toll in the LoreVault systems index and added a player-facing Patch Notes entry. - Minor flag, not changed: the shelf lists "The Tempral Coil," which looks like a typo for Temporal. Left as written. ### Grounded the Smithlocks in the Sunderbane artifact page - The Remnant ruleset, the First Remnants shelf, and Discord's Toll were already committed (98ca996), with Sunderbane correctly kept as Draedon's reforged Madstone, the Smithlocks reduced to having only studied the blade, and Sellenia normalized. Added the matching line to the canon Sunderbane artifact page so the canon home reflects the ruling: the Smithlocks examined the blade and tried to duplicate it, and mostly failed. ### Added the deepest lore, The Eternal Hunt - Created The Eternal Hunt page in 7 - The Lore (Contains Spoilers)/The Sphere, beside The Sphere and The Skyvault. It tells the foundational myth: the Eternals, the First Ones, the theft of immortality, the deception that is LoreFell, the creation of the LoreMaster, the Madstone and Malvaro, the Knights of Fell, Sunderbane, the Skyvault, the birth of the LoreMaster's will, and the renewal of the Fell. Used the condensed telling, cleaned to house voice (em dashes and the heaviest fragmentation removed, mythic cadence kept). Gated the whole myth inside a collapsed warning callout so it stays hidden until clicked, with a spoiler-free framing line above it. Consistent with the existing Malvaro, Sunderbane, and Skyvault canon. ### CSS readability pass for bold and italic on dark blocks - Bold inside callouts was already gold, but italic inside callouts still inherited the dark muted color and rendered nearly invisible on the navy callout background. Added overrides so italic in callouts, and both bold and italic in table headers, inline code, and code blocks, all use legible light or gold tones on navy. No more doubled-up dark-on-dark text. Header and footer chrome carry no markdown emphasis, so they needed nothing. ### Wrote the Discord and LoreMaster pages - Filled the two blank Astral Entities pages, Discord and The LoreMaster, consistent with The Eternal Hunt, Malvaro, and the Aspects of Discord. Discord covers its origin from Malvaro and the Madstone, what it does, why Sunderbane only strengthened it, the Aspects, and the hidden truth that it has served the Eternals' hunt. The LoreMaster covers its creation from the gods' knowledge, its eons of watching, the will it gained from the first Fell's sacrifice, and why it calls the Fell now. Both reference The Eternal Hunt and sit in the spoiler section like the Aspect pages. - Blank pages still outstanding under The Lore outside Brands, left for direction: the Astral Entities overview, eight Faction pages (The Dark Entities, The Enlisted, The Faelir, The Forsaken, The Riftrunners, The Shattered, The Sunborn, The Veiled), and the Vorb bestiary stub. ### Astral Entities overview, plus The Veiled and The Forsaken - Wrote the Astral Entities overview (the LoreMaster, Discord, and the Aspects, pointing to The Eternal Hunt). - Wrote two faction pages from established canon. The Veiled are servants of the Veil, the disguised face of Discord (Brannis's pact, the Veiled Queen's court, the Veiled Herald, infiltration and the erasing of memory). The Forsaken are Mordaine's oathbreakers who refused the Skyvault sacrifice and were marked by Discord (the Nocturnai enslavement on Sellenia, the Vyrathe and Castle Veyr Mourne, Forsaken slavers and Spindle's old work against them). - Held The Shattered. In the Fallen Lore the oathbreakers who refused the Skyvault sacrifice are named both the Shattered and the Forsaken, while every other page uses only Forsaken, so the two read as one group under two names. Needs a ruling on whether they are distinct before writing. - Still blank, awaiting direction: The Shattered, The Dark Entities, The Enlisted, The Faelir, The Riftrunners, The Sunborn, and the Vorb bestiary stub. ### The Shattered, and The Forsaken revised to match - Wrote The Shattered per Nate's ruling: the broad name for anyone and anything Discord corrupts, and also the title of the schism that first broke the Fell (the Shattering). The Forsaken are a narrow kind of Shattered. The page carries the canonical in-world confusion, where the realms use the two names interchangeably and wrongly. - Revised The Forsaken to agree: still Mordaine's original oathbreakers and their cursed lines, but now also any Fell who turns to Discord in any age, and framed as the Fell-specific subset of the Shattered. Both pages close on the same line, every Forsaken is Shattered, not everything Shattered was ever a Fell. - Still blank, awaiting direction: The Dark Entities, The Enlisted, The Faelir, The Riftrunners, The Sunborn, and the Vorb bestiary stub. ### The Riftrunners and The Faelir, from the Joel chat harvest - Wrote The Riftrunners from established canon in the artist/lorecrafter chat: an order that finds, studies, contains, and seals dimensional ruptures before worlds fall to Discord. Three callings (White Guard, Du'plari, Seekers), founded by Glower the First Riftrunner (a Minerite), based between realms, soul-rescue capability, and rogue offshoots like Spindle. - Wrote The Faelir: fae spirits between realms, near the nature worlds, born of the Amaranthia and Scere overlap, blessing nature and cursing corruption. Sylvakith are faeliri-touched, and the blue faeliri lights (as on Valoria) are Scere fragments that drive back the undead. - Still blank with no canon in this chat: The Enlisted (only Whip's Enlist mechanic found), The Sunborn, The Dark Entities, and the Vorb stub. ### Lantern's rebirth and the Magnus Bane page (community lore drops) - Updated Lantern's profile with the canon from the community lore drops: nearly killed at the end of the Veiled Queen campaign and saved by Glower, taken into the Riftrunners, later killed by Magnus in Elysara over the Pentifax, and rebuilt by Glower in Mireleor as a hybrid Ironclad that kept most of his memory and self. - Wrote the Magnus Bane canon character page in the Malvaro profile format: a Hallowed cast into the Brim by Lantern, returned stripped of memory, brought to the edge of the Final Death in Mireleor and restored by Discord, risen as a Forsaken. Bears the Blazing Sun and the Pentifax, moves with the Unforged and a Hexarach, condemned to the Brim by Lantern and revenged in Elysara, burned Shadakar after a bargain with Flint. - Flagged: the drop calls Magnus "the first of the Forsaken," which clashes with Mordaine as the founding-age first. Reconciled on the page as the first Forsaken of the current age, pending Nate's ruling. - Confirmed no brand conflict: the drop's Ashletting is the repo's Hazenry (the file already notes the alias). ### Lore-drop rulings: Glower, Vyrathis powers, the Unforged, and fixes - Wrote Glower as a canon character: the First Riftrunner, a Minerite of Kwuhara who learned to open and read the rifts, founded the order, saved Lantern, and rebuilt him as a hybrid Ironclad. - Wrote three pages per Nate's go-ahead: Eriseth, the Unseen Flame (the Vyrathis heretic presence that trades forbidden knowledge for self-sacrifice), The Pale Court (Vyrathis's spectral judges of oath, now fallen silent), and The Unforged (the corrupted proto-Ironclad that march with Magnus). The first two are placed in The Factions for now and can move if a Vyrathis home is preferred. - Removed Spindle from The Riftrunners per Nate: she is no longer an ex-runner. Added her aether-lens mask to her own page as canon flavor. - Clarified the Forsaken ages: Mordaine the first Forsaken of the elder age under the prior Skyvault, Magnus the first to fall in the current age. - Confirmed the Blazing Sun and the Pentifax already exist as Lost Remnants on the shelf and match canon, so no change there. ### The Brim recorded on Brimsever - Added the Brim to Brimsever as a nickname and war-scar per Nate, keeping Brimsever a living world and the Harrowed its native lineage. The realm was a battlefield in the war against Malvaro, Lantern cast Magnus into the Brim there, and Magnus returned as one of the Harrowed. ### Link sweep: stripped all links, replaced retired skill links - Removed all 275 wiki links and 2 markdown links across 76 pages, converting them to plain text and dropping numbered prefixes. Image embeds were left untouched. - Replaced retired skill links with current canon where the mapping is settled: Running to Movement, Shadows to Presence, Observation to Vigilance, Recovery to Renewal, Tenacity to Resolve. - Stripped link syntax from old skill and old rule terms that have no settled mapping yet, leaving them as plain text and flagged for the granular pass: Mysticism, Arcane, Elemental, Inspection, Tracking, Mobility and Mobility Range, Resilience, Toughness. ### Recorded the old-skill conversion table in CANON - Confirmed the current 24-skill framework is already recorded in CANON and is authoritative; left it unchanged. - Replaced the small retired-terms stub with the full old-to-current skill conversion table (Sneaking to Presence confirmed, Resilience to Sanctum and Toughness to Temper superseding the old "folded into three lanes" note). Kept the do-not-blind-replace caution and noted Vitality the resource is not the old skill. - Marked the vault conversion as approved but pending a granular context pass, including the Luck page Recovery to Renewal and correcting the three Shadows-to-Presence spots to Spirit. ### Granular pass, batch 1: skill conversion in context - Converted old skill names to current canon only on skill-check cues (skill, mastery, lore check, dice rolls, Lore Check:), never the bare word, so descriptors ("arcane power," "elemental damage") and the Vitality/Memory/Balance resources and prose were left untouched. 84 replacements across 42 pages. - Magic skills: Arcane and Elemental to Weaving, Mysticism and Shadows to Spirit. Mundane: Inspection to Logic, Running and Jumping to Movement, Tracking and Observation to Vigilance, Toughness to Temper, Resilience to Sanctum, Recovery to Renewal (including the Survival page), Speechcraft to Presence, Lockpicking and Dual Wielding to Finesse, Balance to Poise. - Fixed the a/an article after replacement. Art embeds and links untouched. ### Granular skill conversion in the vault (context-aware) - Converted old skill names to current canon only where they are genuine skill references: the skill-utility and spark items ("lucky roll on X lore checks"), the two skill rolls in the Sample Scenario and Quick Start Guide (Balance to Poise, Lockpicking to Finesse), and the Lineages skill examples (Jumping to Movement, Observation to Vigilance). Twenty references in all. - Left every descriptive and resource use untouched per the canon caution: Vitality the resource, elemental and arcane as descriptors, ability names like Arcane Volley, art filenames, and ordinary English like memory, balance, and climbing onto a monster. ### Granular combat conversion to current canon - Rewrote old combat language to the current simultaneous structure per Nate's rulings. Turn-based timing became round-based (turn to round, once per turn to once per round, start/end of your turn to the round). Old action-economy language became Act and React: "an action" to "an Act," "costs 2 actions" to "costs your Act and React," "all your actions for the turn" to "your whole round, both Act and React," extra-action effects to extra Act. - Lorebounds: removed the Lorebound combat phase. Aspects now activate through a React (Aspects overview, Vexing, Analytical, Neverending, Regenerator, Hexbroken). Lorebounds get one Act to move. Generic free actions (Utilize, placing a rune, item handling) were kept, since free actions remain valid; only the named Free Action Phase was removed. - Fixed the one real initiative remnant: Mobility no longer "rolls at the start of combat to determine your phase: Rapid, Steady, or Slow." It now simply sets how far you move each round. Mobility and Mobility Range remain current. - Left idiomatic and flavor uses untouched (take the initiative, turn of a card, a divination brand's "next turn," Rapid advancement in leveling). ### Joel-chat deep lore, batch 1: the Vyrathis chain - Wrote Malachar (canon character): from Mordaine's cursed bloodline, the first of the Vyrathe and Prophet of Vyrathis, keeper of the Pale Blade, now allied with the Fell to cleanse Vyrathis of Discord. - Wrote Zarathis (canon character): a Fell theorist under Draedon, first to discover Nexus magic and cross between worlds through natural nexus points (the Valoria nexus beyond the Bridgewall made Valoria reachable), who refused the Skyvault and fled to Pyranthia. Distinct from Glower, who first tracked the rifts. - Strung the lineage chain through both the Vyrathis world page and the Forsaken page: Mordaine fathered the Forsaken, his bloodline ran to Malachar the first Vyrathe, and the Vyrathe descend from him. ### 2026-06-16 - Lorebounds rebuilt as evolving Aspects Replaced the old lorebound ability and aspect systems with one evolving Aspect per creature. - Every lorebound now carries a single Aspect, a support React unique to its kind. It triggers on an event within the lorebound's Mobility range, costs the owner's React, and fires once per round, with no roll. - An Aspect deepens in three form-tied stages: the Initial Aspect at Familiar, a chosen Branching Aspect at Companion, a chosen Crown Aspect at Corsair. Each choice is one of two and commits once picked, re-chosen only with Paragon Points. - Aspects ride the shared charge ladder. Charge 1 fires the Initial, charge 2 adds the Branching, charge 3 adds the Crown, and a Tier 3 weapon unleash resets all charges. Form sets the ceiling, charge sets the current reach, and there is no new tracking. - The owner cannot benefit from their own lorebound's Aspect until it is a corsair and they are mounted. At lorebound level 10 the Everpresent Bond extends that protection even while unmounted. - Wrote the Aspect for all 18 lorebounds onto their pages, each with its Initial Aspect plus two Branching and two Crown options. Aquafin and Drakelith were re-themed to cleaner triggers. - Rewrote the master Lorebounds page: support-arsenal framing, the three forms, a simultaneous-combat How Lorebounds Act section that removes the old Lorebound phase and turn language, the Aspect and charge rules, and the new leveling table. - New leveling cadence: Familiar and Initial Aspect at 1, Companion and Branching at 4, Corsair and Crown at 7, Everpresent Bond at 10. Levels come from spending a Core Ascension Crystal on Vigor or Wit, with a free increase to any other attribute each level. Updated the table on the master page and in the Quick Guide to Leveling, and the leveling callout on the 2.8 page. - Archived the old systems out of publish: the Aspects tree, the Lorebound Abilities index, the Familiar abilities (Utilize, Torpefy, Diligent), and the per-creature ability pages. - Repointed the Lorebound Aspects quick link to the per-creature pages. Touched: The Arsenal (Lorebounds master, 18 creature pages, Transmogrifications), The Characters (2.8 Leveling), Quick Links (Quick Guide to Leveling, Lorebound Aspects). Archived: old Lorebound Aspects and Abilities trees. Flagged (pre-existing, left untouched to avoid a silent sweep): two dramatic ellipses in the Quick Guide to Leveling intro and a quote-attribution em dash on the 2.8 Leveling page. Fold into the lore-check rename batch if wanted. ### Canon character stubs from the Joel-chat roster - Wrote thirteen canon character stubs in Canon Characters, each a collapsible profile callout with Lineage, Home World, Motivation, and Origin fields and a short Notes line, matching the existing profile format. Home World, Motivation, and Origin are left to be set through play. - The Fell recorded: Acantha (silver-furred Harfolk duelist with a longsword), Agnes (blind Dweller elder with a staff), Astra (Rysen child bonded to a Felionis, carries a wand), Caedril (young Dweller mage, companion of Spindle), Hayjack (thin Ironclad duelist with twin rapiers, rival of Spindle), Kreven (a Vate spear-fighter), Mozzle (white-furred Harfolk luck bearer), Pippa (a tiny Shrewish girl with a six-sided die), Rysn (a brown-haired Rysen girl with an endless appetite), Selvara (a Marrowkai warrior bearing Dirge, a Keelser blade), Shroomy (a Capling chef and illusionist), Steelheart and Tamesis (Fell whose stories fill in through play). - Skipped Emperion, who already has a page. No existing canon character page was duplicated. Touched: The Lore (Canon Characters), thirteen new pages. ### Joel-chat deep lore, batch 2: the Keelser chain, Pyranthia's magic, and world folds - Wrote The Keelser as one connected horror under The Sphere lore: the Uramitar (the dreaming dead-world species), the dark crystals that are pieces of their bodies, the Calamiter weapons those crystals make when fused to steel, and the Keelser that results when bearer, victim, and Uramitar fuse into one. Named Dirge (Selvara's blade) and the Pale Blade (Malachar's) as known Calamiters, and left the Sunderbane and Whip thread as a LoreMaster note. Filed as a lost, non-playable lineage per Nate. - Pyranthia: added a Nexus Magic section (Zarathis's brand-less travel between worlds through natural nexus points, worked from the position of an anomaly) and marked Interface Magic as its counter, the thing that lets a Fell stand on a nexus and remain a valid participant in the Sphere's rules. The page already held Interface Magic and Zarathis, so this completes the pair. - The Vate: folded Joel's complete design into the lineage page. They are the Bornasin, spirits reborn where the earth swallowed forgotten bodies, a frame of mud, bone, and grasping hands held up by a penitent ghost, with the dirt taking pity on them. Kept the Scere as the judging force, the sin-and-redemption arc, the roleplay notes, and the Sanctum bonus. - The Ironclad lineage gained a Cilaris and the Kinetic Arts section: the force-storing mineral, the deceleration discipline that keeps it from detonating early, and the Cilaris armor. - Mireleor gained Cilaris and the Ragers (the kinetic weapons and the runed-cannon energy spheres built to pierce behemoths) and the Ironglir Rite (the skull-and-plant vessel, and flagship weapons forged from the melted dead). - Crixalis gained The Dunes and Their Hunters: the Ixoar mounts, the Sand Stalkers (raxoar a raan, the mimic-predators), and the Pherfarn guild who run the desert crossings. - Valoria gained the Whispered Ashwood, a forest that erasure burned during Discord's brush with the world, where the dead were never allowed to finish their stories. - Burhallow gained Osan'maelor and the Eye of the Present, the sixteen-hundred-year drakelith who could touch the present, the cult around his buried eyes, and the tongueless-drakelith dark thread kept light at Joel's mark. Added a short Osan'maelor nod to the Drakelith lorebound card. - The Eternal Hunt gained the Nebularians (the Eternals' cosmic hunters) and Jomagrix'r (the one who slipped their control after crossing into LoreFell), placed inside the deep-spoiler block. Flagged: Valoria already names a "Whispering Woods" near Eldervale, close in name to the new "Whispered Ashwood." Both were left in place and distinct, pending Nate's call on a rename or merge. The Vate's old bone-and-antler imagery was folded toward Joel's mud-and-hands design per the ruling that Joel's version is the accurate one. Touched: The Lore (new The Keelser page, Pyranthia, Mireleor, Crixalis, Valoria, Burhallow, The Eternal Hunt), The Characters (Vate and Ironclad lineages), The Arsenal (Drakelith lorebound). ### Whispering Woods, Whispered Ashwood, and the Rotwood unified as one place - Per Nate, the three names are one place. Kept "the Whispering Woods" as the common spoken name (it is the established, heavily referenced campaign name) and recorded the Whispered Ashwood and the Rotwood as its other names. - Folded the erasure origin into the identity: the wood was burned by erasure during Discord's brush with Valoria, and the dead who never finished their stories are the source of both the whispering and the Rendral corruption. Written onto the Valoria world page (the section retitled from the Whispered Ashwood to the Whispering Woods and tied to the Eldervale lanterns and the Rendrals) and the campaign location page. - Left the existing prose mentions of the Whispering Woods untouched across the Shattering of Valoria campaign, since that name stays canonical. No sweep needed. Touched: The Lore (Valoria world page, The Shattering of Valoria location page). ### 2026-06-16 - Cawmarch crowns reworded to fit the Crown axis - Replaced Cawmarch's two Crown Aspects (which were both area or magnitude effects) with two distinct delivery crowns: a Wide that spreads the fling or render to all enemies in range, and a Routed that picks which enemy receives the flung Affliction. Keeps the Crown stage to one reshape per option and matches the BondForge crown vocabulary. Touched: The Arsenal (The Cawmarch). ### Removed number-dash prefixes from the published vault (clean filenames) - Stripped the `N - `, `N.M - `, and `N.M.K - ` ordering prefixes from every folder and file under the published vault, 409 items, leaving clean names like The Vate, Combat Basics, and The Lineages. Folder renames carry their contents, so the commit shows 887 path moves. No clean-name collisions. - Excluded the campaign Storyline chapter files (the `01 - `, `02 - ` narrative chapters, 20 files), since their numbers read as real chapter numbers. Easy to strip later if wanted. - Rewrote the wiki links that pointed at renamed targets so they still resolve. Left the vault root (Overview, About Us, Patch Notes), LoreVault, Archive, and _Canon untouched. - Updated the one stale folder path in CANON.md (the cosmology source reference). - Ordering now comes from the Obsidian Publish navigation dialog instead of filename prefixes. The intended drag order was captured in a nav map handed to Nate. Flagged: 30 pre-existing dead wiki links remain, pointing at pages that do not exist (retired skill names like Sneaking, Toughness, Arcane, Climbing, and never-created weapon variants like Great Sword, Long Sword). These were already broken before this pass and want a separate repoint-or-remove cleanup. Touched: the entire published vault tree (folder and file renames), 5 files with link rewrites, CANON.md. ### Obscured, new concealment Combat Effect (Shrouded kept for the armor stance) - Added Obscured to the Combat Effects table and created Obscured.md. Breakout Elusion. Enemies cannot see or target you until you deal damage or the end of your next round. Mutually exclusive with Tracked. - Converted concealment-effect references from Shrouded to Obscured in Shadowmeld, the Augmentations table, Murk (Pales), Revealing Powder, and the Xenophis ability page. The Shrouded Armor stance is unchanged. ## 2026-06-18, Utility overhaul and ambush rule - Rebuilt The Treasure utility system around the new combat economy. Every item now carries a Use of Passive, React, Act, or Rest. Equip limit stays at 1 plus Wit, Rest items do not count against it, and only one of each item may be equipped. - Reorganized The Treasure into four folders: Skill Utilities, Combat Utilities, Field Utilities, Harvest Tools. Removed Attribute Utilities, Other Utilities, FellCraft, and Crafting Materials. All pages stripped of crafting requirements, activation lines, and FellCraft occupation tags. - Skill Utilities collapsed from 21 to 8, one per attribute, each granting a Lucky roll across that attribute's skills. Filcher's Band (was Deceiver Ring, Precision), Foxfire (was Glow Powder, Magic), Sinew Cord (was Elastic Band, Vigor), Ballast Cuff (was Balance Bracelet, Durability), Aegis Charm (was Griffin Feather, Resistance). Grappling Hook (Power), Journal (Wit), and Silk Runners (Evasion) kept. - New harvest set, spent in place of a loot roll: Butcher Knife (weapon ability to a Tablet or Trap), Marrow Tap (spell to a Potion or Rune, was Voidspark Amethyst), Flensing Hook (Affliction to a Glyph, was Ebonspark Obsidian). - Glyph reworked into a captured Affliction, applied to a weapon or laid on an enemy as an Act. Affliction cleanse moved to Ash Salt (was Spirespark Diamond). Swifting Sash now grants one extra Act or React each round. - New items: Kindlestone (stores up to 3 charges, was Firespark Ruby), Unbroken Seal (wards one Impairment, was Deepspark Sapphire), Assayer's Loupe (reveals an unknown item's use, was Telescope), Wardstake (party negates the first hostile Combat Effect next fight), Camp Kettle (party Fatigue wipe at rest), Palimpsest Stone (full reset to level 0, refunds Crystals and 6 skill points per Mastery), Wispin Coin (summons Whip's Emporium, LoreMaster run). - Added the Ambush rule to The Combat (Presence against Vigilance for a free opening Act) and a LoreMaster note to LoreVault Running Combat. - Noted Lore Manual in CANON as the one sanctioned exception to skills growing only on Fellmarks. - Archived Lockpicks, Compass, Stifling Soles, Bouncing Bands, Lute, Cipher Wheel, Scabbard, and the Crop, Mineral, and Monster Materials. Updated NAV_ORDER_MAP and sortspec. - Art pending for the new and repurposed pieces. Wispin Coin LoreMaster ruleset to be expanded next session. ## 2026-06-18, Whip's Emporium - Added the Whip's Emporium LoreMaster system under LoreVault. Covers the Double (every deal bends to twice its value in Whip's favor, doubling what he is paid and halving what he pays), a Lore check to know it before agreeing, the rule that he never strikes a deal a Fell cannot cover at the doubled price, half price when he buys, and his refusal to deal with anyone bound to an enemy hunting him. - Set the Emporium in the basement of Phantom Delights, known to Shroomy and her staff and reached only by a Wispin Coin. Whip stays bound to Valoria by Sunderbane, and the tavern nexus is his one reach. - Added a 36 entry stock table for the LoreMaster across leads and maps, rare gear, services and oddities, curiosities, and a single Remnant. No progression currency, which stays Spindle's territory. - Added the Emporium and the Double to Whip's character page, with the location kept vague there. - Fixed the Wispin Coin stub to open a door into a fixed Emporium rather than a roaming shop. - Updated The LoreVault systems table and the sortspec. ## 2026-06-18, Whip's Emporium prices and purchase limit - Added asking-price bands for all 36 stock entries (Low, Mid, High, Legendary, and the Remnant), with the reminder that the Fell pay double and the LoreMaster scales to the party. - Added the purchase rule. A Wispin Coin opens one visit, the LoreMaster lays out three to six wares with at most one Remnant, and each Fell present may buy one item, with pooling allowed for a single item. Selling to Whip does not count against the limit. ## 2026-06-18, Whip's Emporium, drawing on Whip - Added the rule for threatening Whip in the Emporium. Shroomy's Phantoms move first as a warning and seal the door, the Enlisted answer if the party presses, and Whip ends it himself with Sunderbane. Anyone who draws on him is barred for good. - Shroomy's Phantoms named as the sanctuary guardians under Whip's bargain with her. A fuller entry for them is still to be written. ## 2026-06-18, Wispin Coin, solo entry and dead next flip - Only the Fell who flips a Wispin Coin may enter the Emporium. The party can pool Aurum to fund the purchase, but one Fell stands in the room and chooses. - After a visit, the next coin that Fell flips does not answer. Whip does not open to the same hand twice running. - Reworked the refusal language. When Whip will not see a Fell, whether bound to an enemy hunting him or barred for drawing on him, the coin does not answer rather than opening on an empty room. The barred case is permanent. - Updated the Wispin Coin stub to match. ## 2026-06-18, Wispin Coin, correction on revisits - Removed the post-visit cooldown added in error. A Fell may visit the Emporium as often as they have coins. - The dead flip is solely the punishment for threatening Whip, which already lives in the Drawing on Whip rule and bars that Fell's coin for good. Updated the Wispin Coin stub to say so. ## 2026-06-18, Wispin Coin, stock count - Whip presents 1 plus the flipper's Wit in wares per visit, never more than one a Remnant, matching how Wit already drives the utility limit and shard finds. - Lifted the single-item cap. The flipper may buy as much of what is presented as they can afford at the doubled price. ## 2026-06-18, Spindle the Brandbroker - Added the Spindle LoreMaster system under LoreVault. She appears to one Fell alone, through a rift only that Fell can see, and comes for two reasons. - Unlocking. Drawn to a Fell who sacrificed for someone else, she wakes the native Brand of their homeworld. The price is one Paragon Point, or everything banked and unspent, all Lore Points and all Ascension Crystals together. She will not come to a Fell with nothing to give. - Collecting. She comes to any Fell whose Brand she wants, weaves a copy into her web, and pays a Paragon Point. The Fell keeps their own Brand. - Her trades bind a debt and her gifts can carry a string, both left to the LoreMaster as the Willo bargain showed. The Willo trade stays a one-off exception to the homeworld rule. - Added Spindle to The LoreVault systems table and the sortspec. This is the home for the progression currency kept out of Whip's Emporium. ### Pending / flagged - Lore bibles (Nate's, for a few worlds) to upgrade specific templates to full canon when ready. Currently on a different machine, to be retrieved.
