# The Stratums The Sphere holds more worlds than any single mind can keep, layered together like the pages of a book too large to ever finish reading. Each layer is a Stratum, a complete world with a people of its own and a magic of its own, shaped by dangers that belong nowhere else. The Fell cross between them, and what they learn in one world rarely prepares them for the next. No two Stratums are alike. One is a jungle still deciding whether to keep you. Another is a court of the elegant dead, holding to a kingdom that ended centuries ago. What they share is harder to see, the slow pressure of Discord against every edge of every world, and a sense in the oldest places that the layers were never meant to hold forever.
