# The Marrowkai
The Marrowkai are blood-marked warriors, nomadic and scarred and lit up by the pulse of a fight. Their cannibal rites and endless warpath have earned them a reputation as savages, and most people never look past it. Underneath, though, there is ritual, tradition, and a code that does not bend: strength is honored, the weak are consumed, and kin are never left behind.
They come from Karn, a place of savage beauty and brutal extremes, mountainous barrens and choked forests and scarred valleys under a blood-red sky. There, survival is the whole culture and the blade is the common tongue.
A Marrowkai never settles for long. The warbands roam without end, raiding to live, to win glory, and to honor the old rites. Earn their respect through honor and strength and you have it. Show them cowardice and you are already finished.
## Roleplaying a Marrowkai
Marrowkai are relentless, proud, and rooted in a culture where blood binds and battle defines. Their presence should always feel like a smoldering ember: contained, but never out.
Consider:
- Channeling their intensity in combat through feral charges, ritual howls, or the gleam of hunger.
- Embracing their nomadic identity. Rarely attached to places, but fiercely protective of companions.
- Forming grudging respect for powerful allies, perhaps the only bonds they understand beyond kinship.
- Drawing from Karn's unforgiving terrain to shape their outlook on the world.
