![[armoreffectsheader.png]] # Layers Upon Layers Armor in LoreFell isn’t just protection, it’s evolution. Each piece carries the echoes of past battles and the promise of future triumphs. As you grow stronger, so does your armor, gaining potent effects that turn survival into dominance. Just like weapons, your armor gains new traits over time. Every successful battle, every earned Ascension Crystal, every hard choice feeds its strength—and yours. #### ✦Charging Armor Effects Armor effects don’t activate by themselves. They must be charged through the flow of combat, just like weapon abilities. There are two ways to charge them: * Landing attacks with your weapon * Using Skyvault Shards mid-battle Each successful attack or strategic shard use powers up your armor's latent effects, tier by tier. But remember: your armor grows only as your courage does. #### ✦Structure of Armor Pieces Armor isn’t a single entity. It’s made of multiple pieces, each tied to your growth: * Boots: Unlock Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Effects * Gloves and Helms: Unlock Tier 2 and Tier 3 Effects * Chests and Adornments: Unlock a Tier 3 Effect only Each tier must be charged before its effects activate. Boots advance fastest, granting flexibility early on, while chest pieces hold the greatest power for those who endure. #### ✦Passive Power Unlike weapon abilities or spells, armor effects are passive once charged. They don't consume actions or eat up your charges. They simply shape the battlefield around you—enhancing your resilience, your retaliation, and your survival. Additionally, armor effects can be imprinted when looted from powerful enemies, allowing you to permanently forge them into your arsenal, thus expanding your customization even further. ### Armor Sets * [[Shrouded Armor]] - Powered by Evasion. Swift, light, elusive protection designed to flow around attacks rather than stop them. * [[Stalwart Armor]] - Powered by Durability. Heavy, fortified defenses meant to absorb punishment and remain unbroken. * [[Vestments Armor]] - Powered by Resistance. Woven against magic itself, these vestments shrug off sorcery and arcane harm.,
