# The Custom Path
### Do you want to start with a Weapon, Armor, or Lorebound Familiar?
1. If **Weapon**:
* You get 1 point to put into either Precision, Power, or Magic.
2. If **Armor**:
* You get 1 point to put into either Evasion, Durability, or Resistance. Armor then adds 1 to one more Defensive attribute.
3. If **Lorebound**:
* You get 1 point to put into either Vigor or Wit and 1 point to put into any of the attributes.
> [!note] What Wit buys you
> Wit is your reach with [[Skyvault Shards]]. You can pick one up from any space within your Wit, and spend one on any legal target within your Wit, without moving to it. It also sets how many Shards you can find in a battle, 1 + Wit, and how many pieces of equipment you can have equipped at once, also 1 + Wit.
Depending on what you chose, you get either:
#### **Starting Weapons**
- Precision (Shortbow, Dagger, Javelin)
- Power (Short Sword, Hatchet, Mace)
- Magic (Wand, Ring, Cards)
_(Note: You may also choose a low-range infusion from the matching weapon type. This makes your weapon unique.)_
### **Starting Armor**
- Your Armor Stances (Shrouded, Stalwart, and Vestments). Their tiers unlock as you level.
### **Starting Lorebound Familiar**
- There are 19 of them, but you don’t technically need to know which one you have until it becomes a Companion at level 4.
_(Note: You may also choose a low-range aspect for your lorebound. This makes your lorebound unique.)_
### Choose 3 different skills to increase by 1. These are known as Origin Points.
---
Outside of that, choose a Motivation. Its Attribute rises by 1 and each of its three skills gains 1 point. Its Title is earned later on.
Finally, a Lineage. These are primarily for roleplaying flavor. Each also grants a fixed +1 to the attribute or skill named in its Lineage Bonus. Only the Nyseen choose any attribute or skill. Choose from the list or create your own.
If you’d rather use pre-built options, continue below.

# The Pre-Generated Path
## Step 1: Choose Your Lineage
Start with one of 36 unique [[The Lineages|Lineages]], your species or ancestry. Each [[The Lineages|Lineages]] has deep [[Lore Points]], a Realm of [[The Origins|Origins]], and distinct traits. This defines your visual identity, culture, and sometimes supernatural quirks.
*Example: Are you a frog-like Fribbit from the jungles of [[Mireth]]? A vampire-tinged Vyrathe from the haunted realm of [[Vyrathis]]? Or something else entirely?*

## Step 2: Choose Your Origin
Your [[The Origins|Origins]] defines your role in the party, including your:
* [[The Attributes|Attributes]] Focus (e.g. [[Power]], [[Wit]], [[Vigor]])
* [[Ascension Crystals]] placement (what will you [[Leveling]]?)
* Weapon
* Infusion
* [[Armor]]
* Lorebound
* Aspect
* Starting [[The Skills|Skills]]
*Each [[The Origins|Origins]] is short, flavorful, and represents how your character first entered the world of LoreFell.*
[[The Origins|Review Origins here.]]
## Step 3: Choose Your Motivation
This is your purpose as a Fell.
Your [[The Motivations|Motivations]] grants:
* +1 to its Attribute
* +1 to each of its three [[The Skills|Skills]]
If you successfully complete specific requirement tied to your [[The Motivations|Motivations]] that might evolve into deeper story arcs, you also gain:
* A permanent bonus (such as rerolling, damage [[Resistance]], or extra actions)
[[The Motivations|Review Motivations here.]]
## Step 4: Base Stats & Description
Fill in your starting stats:
* [[4 - Vitality|Vitality]]: 5 + Vigor
