![[loreboundabilitiesheader.png]] # All Bark and All Bite Lorebounds come in every shape and spirit imaginable. Some are creatures of myth—griffins with wings of burning gold or phoenixes born from the ashes of forgotten stars. Others are stranger still: living oozes that ripple with magic, ancient bugs bearing dark crystalline shells, or silent cats with splitting appendages to climb and capture prey. The form your Lorebound takes is as much a reflection of you as your arsenal or armor. No two are identical, for each Fell shapes their companion through bond, battle, and belief. But their differences aren’t just cosmetic. Lorebounds vary wildly in their abilities and specialties. Some serve as healers, weaving Vitality back into broken bodies. Others are fierce, disrupting enemy lines or afflicting foes with debilitating conditions. A few enhance your powers instead—bolstering skills, triggering chain reactions of effects, or protecting allies from afar. Whether you seek a loyal steed, a lurking assassin, a living shield, or a spark of elemental chaos, there is a Lorebound for your journey... or one waiting to be shaped by it. ## Familiar Abilities All Lorebounds begin in their Familiar form, a supportive presence that acts at the start or end of the round. Though often overlooked, many Fell choose to keep their Lorebound in this state permanently, evolving its abilities while maintaining the simplicity and speed of its smaller frame. Familiars don’t attack, but their effects are potent. They assist, react, reposition, and, when fully empowered, can disrupt enemy plans or supercharge your own round. The longer they grow alongside you, the more formidable their presence becomes. Every Lorebound may gain the following Familiar abilities: ### ✦Utilize Form: Familiar Tier: 1 Effect: All utility items may be activated as a free action. ### ✦Torpefy Form: Familiar Tier: 2 Effect: When you are dealt damage by an enemy, that enemy loses their Act next round. ### ✦Diligent Form: Familiar Tier: 3 Effect: Gain an extra Act.
