# Climbing Climbing is the strength and technique to rise against gravity. To scale walls, cliffs, and obstacles that would stop anyone without the grip, patience, and stubborn refusal to stop moving upward even when the stone crumbles or the surface cuts. A Fell skilled in Climbing can ascend sheer cliffs with minimal aid, navigate ruins where the stairs are long gone, or cling to shifting surfaces under pressure. It makes the battlefield three-dimensional, opening angles of attack and paths of escape that do not exist for those who stay on the ground. In the Sphere, Climbing belongs to those who went where they were not supposed to go. Up fortress walls in the dark. Onto the backs of beasts too large to fight any other way. Up crumbling heights with someone else's weight on their back. No barrier is absolute if there is even a small hold. **Movement:** Roll 1d6 + Climbing to determine how many spaces you climb, if successful. > [!note] Example Skill Checks > > - Scale a sheer rock face without climbing gear. > - Ascend a crumbling tower before it gives way. > - Cling to a shifting surface like a beast's hide or a collapsing structure. > - Climb while carrying an ally or heavy gear.
